I've started collecting vintage fabrics, lace, crochet, etc. just so I can build a variety to use in slow stitching. I love how unique each piece can become. Thank you for the inspiration you give to a novice like myself.

I played some rock tunes while my 6 and 8-year -old grandsons and I were working on a project. The youngest really latched onto “ Immigrant Song” and kept asking me to “play it again”. Got such a kick out of that. Love your work. You’re my favorite KZfaq artist and I watch for your latest videos with anticipation. Thank you SO much.

My mother was a sewest, my father loved opera and classical music, also folk music. I grew up listening to it all at a deafening level, and loving every minute. I learned stitching through osmosis, and also loved to disappear where I couldn’t be found. Loved to read and absorbed every word available on me. Great background for an artistic adult. Loved your video.

I was AMAZED that you, like myself, love Led Zeplin!! You struck me as a "Mary Mellow" only, type of gal! I have adored them since first hearing them back in the early 70's! Don’t get me wrong.. starving was not fun. And I still struggle with weight issues due to malnutrition…. I learned to cook as a 5 yr old, to feed myself..I remember trying to feed my feed my baby sister.. which did not go well.. but I was totally free range until my mother figured out she could put me to work… but I do give thanks for those early years when I had freedom in the summer moths.

This morning, as I listened, my thoughts were formed in to words and I wrote down what I was feeling when I did a slow stitched piece that evolved in to my view of the Russia / Ukrainian war. AhHa! I thought you'd say Italian Opera for your fave…I was close. Sometimes I listen to music while creating, sometimes it's too distracting. My fave is the old Simon and Garfunkel from the 60s bc they tell stories then instrumental classical, ensembles or just harp, or just violin. Right now my favorite poet is Morgan Harper Nichols as she reads her poetry and thoughts on her podcast…so thought evoking and also she has a very calming voice. I will look for Mary Oliver !! Thanks for taking time to answer my questions. Love your tea bundles. I wasn't getting dark marks on my tea dye. Your statement about dunk and drape over to let dry, might be the solution to the problem. I’m using three bags to just one cup of water. What is your tea to water ratio? Maybe I can improve mine? Love your stitching today. Your compositions were lovely. You two take care. Sending ❤️😘 C4N.

Curses! I forgot about MHN.. I follow her on FB .. give Oliver a try.. Devotions is my favorite book.. but all her work is brilliant. She just passed last year I think and it was a vey sad day. I adored Simon and Garfunkel.. still do.. perfection.. I love so much.. hard to name it all. But yes, Italian opera always moves me. Soooo.. try bundling your fabrics too.. and leave them to dry for days.. see what you get, Janice dear! And thank you for such great questions! 🌸🌿🌸💕😘🙏🏻🧵🪡🌿

Interesting video, Cat. But unfortunately the video wasn't the clearest initially, which was a shame when you were showing & stitching your first piece. Much better when you zoomed in a little. It would have been nice to have seen some pictures of your finished pieces at the end too. I create small embroidered pieces with rusted fabric but I haven't tried it with tea dyed fabric. Must give it a try. Thanks for the inspiration. C xx
