This is helpful. I carry around 200, and am considered one of the longer hitters in my senior leagues. Most of us do not relate to club videos where they are always reviewed by pros who can hit anything 300 yards.

3:42 something for people to think about. His slowest swing 90mph was his furthest carry 220yds. Absolutely no need to swing out your shoes to knock the skin off the ball, that 220 carry is a 250 yard tee shot all day 💪🏼👌

Interesting from a fitting perspective, shows that fittings can make a hell of a difference. But, I think the wight and shaft types should have been kept secret and then ask the questions about how it feels.

Really interesting video Lee. I have bought an off the shelf Cobra SZ and whilst I hit it well I’m wondering if I could improve my figures with a different shaft.

I have a 12 degree Cleveland HBTurbo 45.5 inch Regular flex and a Nike Vapor speed with an A flex 44.5 inch shaft set at 11.5 degrees. The difference at my swing speed (85-90 mph) is about 12 yards more with the regular flex, one inch longer shaft (220 -230 yards). The Nike is a fairway finder though!

I totally agree that the weight and bend profile of a shaft has a significant effect on optimising a Driver to suit a specific Golfers Swing DNA. During a fitting, I prefer that a fitter doesn't tell me what changes they are making to the shafts etc to ensure that I only react to the "change in feel". Otherwise, I have a tendency to react to the information (this is heavier/lighter, stiffer etc) which can then influence the end result. Personally, I am sensitive to the weight of a shaft, too light or too heavy and my dispersion/ball flight is all over the place, but when the weight is "just right" I am able to time the swing and my dispersion gets tighter and the carry increases.

Would have been good to see 65 reg...as i have a bit of a problem with the real lightweight shafts where i loose feel ....so i find a reg somewhere 55-60 seems to suit me the best
