This week we are exploring the south coast of the UK in the autumn time. I'm making rosehip jam on our camping stove, as well as foraging for sweet chestnuts and learning how to roast them in a frying pan.

I love the new video, Holly, and look forward to the next one! Your hair is so cute at the end. What are the sheds on the beach? I don't think we have those here. I also loved your chestnut drawing. Do you have any planner sticker sheets in your shop? I think all your nature drawings would make great planner stickers. ❤ Can't wait till your next video. I'd love to see a grocery shopping and cooking video. I loved those from your previous years. I also love seeing the surrounding area of where you park. It gives a good sense of place, kind of like creating the setting in a story. I also really love when someone makes their morning coffee or tea and where they drink it, etc. I'm so glad you're creating on KZfaq again. I really missed your content when you were on break. So glad you're back.

Here in sweden we often make rose hip soup. Which you can drink cold or eat hot. It's very usual here. Mostly we buy it ready made though.

Thank you! I have always been pro-Palestine - but I regret not speaking out sooner. Especially as my country is SO very responsible. I was in London yesterday at a Palestine Solidarity march with 300,000 people. It was huge!

Thank you for such a calm video - I love seeing you forage and draw things form nature. I would love to see more of this with mushrooms and all kinds of things. Being from Australia this is all very different that what I'm used to seeing in nature :) Your videos definately glamourise the slow life which reminds me to take breaks in nature where I can at least.

Really glad you liked this one - I also love seeing different flora and fauna from around the world. One of the main reasons we wanted to live like this was to have the ability to slow down. I HATE rushing. It makes me sad!

Yes! Super handy with our big dog, it's his overnight bed and also where he is when we're driving. He likes lying on our seats during the day though which can make things crowded!

Lovely video Holly! It’s so nice to see you back making videos. I have a question about van life if that’s ok (feel free to ignore if not!!!) - I really appreciated the van life update video you made a few weeks ago. It was really interesting. Now that you’ve been doing it a while, do you feel that in some way you’re escaping capitalism, or at least mitigating its most harmful affects? I think for me at least, that’s the greatest pull for this kind of alternative lifestyle…I just want to escape capitalism, man. Of course that’s impossible, but it seems to me like a kind of escape…I’d be particularly interested in Craig’s feelings, as I know (as a long time viewer!) that he went from a very typical corporate 9-5 office job to van life. Does he feel like he’s escaped? Is he happier now than before? I really hate the way that capitalism forces us to be exploited and exploiter, and having a smaller footprint on the planet by living in a van and rejecting the 9-5 seems like a good way to escape that.
