This scene in the film was the best scene of the entire film. Where Jamal runs to Latika through the trains. They are both finally free and it flashbacks all the awful things in his life and its all been worth it for this one moment and he kisses her scar and takes away all her pain. Honestly cried my eyes out dry

I heard this BGM 10 years ago (in 2011). This has been haunting me all these years. I forgot which movie it was from.. I always wanted to listen to it but I couldn’t .. I recently watched one of the AR Rahman’s interviews and he mentioned about it. Then I realised it’s from the legendary “Slumdog millionaire” movie.. I can’t believe it’s been haunting me for 10 years now.. I’m in tears . Thank you ARR!

I think the last scene when Jamal kissed Latika's scar is trying to tell us a lesson. If I am correct, before Jamal's lip touches Latika's face, there was a flashback, and then when the flashback ended, Jamal kissed her. Perhaps it's trying to tell us that Latika's perfect, but then she becomes no longer perfect because of the scar. However, Jamal loved her just the same. WE SHOULD ALL LEARN TO LOVE, LEARN TO ACCEPT SOMEONE WHOSE NO LONGER PERFECT.

People taking pride in the Indian culture, some bashing those comments and trying to call each other racists.. I am an Indian, Who is born with a Chinese blood. But who cares? I don't. Someone asked me why this song doesn't have words, to which I responded: "does a sunrise need words? or the view from the tops of mountains? or anythings that is truly good and beautiful in this world?" To me this song manages to express all of the beauty of the world in just a few simple, amazing minutes.

It's strange that some songs/themes you can only feel deeply after certain experiences in life. Before that experience it's just a normal song.

It speaks to the cords of my heart that created tears in me. Sometimes we don't need a word to express our feelings, just a sound of love is enough.

Hi I am Kushal Mandal, a patient of OCD ( a type of anxiety disorder ) . Currently I am going through lots of hardship and pain as well with my mother not doing so well in terms of health . Panic attacks mixed with anxiety have made my life hell. But I do believe one day I will get over this problem and get a chance to live a normal life.
