Fix Valorant Not Launching Error - Couldn't Start Solution

This tutorial will show you how to fix Valorant not launching error. There are a few possible solutions to fix Valorant if it won't start. A common issue that may be causing Valorant not launching is Riot Vanguard not opening correctly. In order to play Valorant the Riot Vanguard software will need to be running.
If the issue with Valorant launching is being caused by Vanguard then setting the service to automatically start may fix the issue. With the service set to automatic it will automatically run when intended. Additionally, you can manually start the service in case it hasn't started on its own.
Another issue that can cause the Valorant not starting error is overclocking. By removing any overclockng you can ensure that your PC isn't running into resource issues when opening.
Additionally, if your PC isn't running the game with your graphics card then this may be a reason why Valorant won't open. You can easily set the Valorant application to run wusing your graphics card through the graphics settings. Setting Valorant to use high performance as its preference may stop issues when launching.
When running into issues with Valorant it is recommended to try updating your graphics card drivers. This can be done through the device manager. If you have an NVIDIA graphics card then you can try updating drivers through the GeForce Experience app. Updates are often released to ensure new games and features run as intended.
A final solution if the Valorant not launching error isn't fixed, is to reinstall Vanguard. Once uninstalled you will need to reopen Valorant to reinstall Vanguard. After the process is complete a system restart will be required to play Valorant.

If anyone struggling with grayed out start button or Valorant not launching issues, I found a solution on Reddit. Open Ur avast antivirus software go to "Menu > Settings > Exceptions > add exception: Choose folder "Riot Games" (Path: C:/Riot Games/ or similar)" if it doesn't work, do the same thing for the "Riot Vanguard" (Path: C:/Program Files/Riot Vanguard/ or similar) Hope this helpful for someone!

Hello, I need help :/ I uninstalled my valorant because it was not working and when I reinstalled it, it did not open to the main menu as it used when installing the game. Also, the vanguard is not even there or installed, not even in the hidden icons (lower right)... it doesnt install together with valorant, so it doesn't open anymore. I don't know what to do :( please help

Closing MSI Afterburner worked for me after reinstalling 3x. Just close afterburner everytime you play, not uninstall.

Thank you! It worked. I tried everything but of no use. However, deleting and re-installing the van guard helped. I'd recommend doing this in the beginning, as it is only a few MBs.

To the people who are still encountering this problem, I reached out to riot support and they said disabling your anti virus, like avast, will solve this problem. I tried it out and it worked.

Nothing seems to work for me. I have tried all the fixes, and uninstalling the vanguard. When ever I try to launch the game, It runs into a critical error and will not give me an error code. The Solution that worked for me before, would be to sign out of windows and sign back in. However, this solution no longer seems to work.

Hey i have a fix if its not working for you!! This error is general and only means that Vanguard is not running. So there will be many examples on the network, but they do not indicate a specific problem on the side of the game. Especially since this usually means that the third program bites with the current version of Vanguard. Therefore, for starters, try temporarily uninstalling Avast and RAVAntivirus (Reason Security) from the control panel. Then please follow the steps below to perform a clean boot. Below you will find a detailed guide describing how to do this: - Press Windows Key + R. - Type msconfig and press ENTER - Click the Services tab - Check Hide all Microsoft services

I followed many tutorials and even redownloaded the game. Didn't work. Then I realized that my Avast antivirus made a new shortcut on my desktop the other day. Paused it and it works. My god such a simple solution. Anyway put anything Valorant and Riot related on the antivirus' exceptions list.

For me, everytime I tried to open Valorant, a tab would pop up saying that Riot Games is asking for permission. All I did was just right click on the Valorant logo on your homescreen and clicked run administrator
