This was the first Sly Cooper game i played. The way Clockwerk was presented in this game was one heck of an introduction. Making him come more of like a monster than in the prior game.

Im not sure guys, but I believe Bentley is the MVP of this whole game. He made all-in-one in this game, something not even sly could. He planned every single mission He hacked and used traps against foes. He saved his friends all alone, and first steps first, he learned how to drive. Indeed bentley, the best symbol of friendship. Oh, he lost his legs? Sly 3 and 4, he kick ass in that wheelchair. This guy is unstoppable!

You know...I really enjoyed the game as it was, but what always sold me on the game was the villains, Clockwerk in particular...I always found him fascinating, both as a direct enemy and as the indirect enemy in the Clockwerk Parts. The music is befitting of him, and is haunting beyond words in both the original and in Band of Thieves. It sticks with you, especially when Sly explains each Clockwerk part's purpose, and the influence the entirety of them have had on his family, and leaves you feeling uneasy, even when you know you have everything under control. I have no particular favorite part, as they all combine to form one of the greatest video game villains in history.

My favorite thing is how the games show how morally complex but sound sly is. Yeah he's a thief but he's not a monster like the guys he puts behind bars. He's a great example of a morally Grey character

It’s to symbolize how much of a monster Clockwerk has become allowing his own hatred to consume him, the purpose behind it is still a mystery even to this very day. He’s killed plenty of Coopers, who’s to say that he didn’t kill anyone else outside of the lineage as they were mere obstacles in his way. The best example would have been Carmelita if Sly didn’t bust her out of the gas chamber in the first game. Chances are she too would have met a similar fate. Speaking of, the music for Clockwerk in the first game wasn’t this scary because he was treated as this mysterious looming monster that not even Sly knew too much about outside of being the reason he’s an orphan. Here, Sly has more of an idea on who he was and why he was in the backgrounds of each photo of Sly’s ancestors, he’s their omen of death incarnate, and since the parts still have his essence flowing through them, the stakes are as high as they can get, the clock’s ticking. That basically sums it up.

Every time I watch the ending of Sly 2, I always thought that Sly jumping off the helicopter and paragliding his way down would have been a perfect cutaway to the events of Sly 3 if the development for the game wasn't rushed to be made by 2005. I mean, the overall stories in the Sly trilogy is very good! I think the problem is that in Sly 3's case, the events were compiled via flashbacks when Sly was getting gripped by Dr N's monster.

Am I the only one who doesn't really understand why Neyla wanted to be fused with Clockwork? I completely get why Arpeggio wants it, he had a feeble body for years and this was the ultimate prize for someone like him, Neyla was just a little coo coo and wanted a little power, not much for comparison in motivation.

Actually both her and arpeggio wanted it for the immortality. They built a device that would hypnotize All of Paris (thanks to dimitri) to generate hate to power the hate chip that made clockwork immortal

It is becouse there was some talk about showing the gang gambling (but it is totaly fine with showing them stealing things). So when they removed the scen when they made the HD.

I heard that the HD/Vita versions of the games are upscales of the PAL release-as it was apparently the last released and less buggy. And for some regions that use PAL, gambling apparently isn’t cool. So it just so happened the HD versions also get no gambling. Not totally sure if that’s correct, but it seemed sort of plausible.

We as the Old Community of Sly Cooper, Old MapleStory and Pokémon who grew-up as Children in Our Childhoods with Sly Cooper, Old MapleStory and Pokémon -> need the WHOLE STORY of EVERYTHING, Cooper Clan, Cooper Lineage = Family + Relatives (Sukulaiset), Connor Cooper + Mother of Sly, Sly Cooper, Bentley, Murray, Carmelita Fox, Villains + Gangs/Groups, why and how did Villains get together to form a Gang/Group, why, where, when and how did ALL/EVERYTHING of the COMPLETE STORY happen! We need at least Sly 8-10 games for the 100% ENTIRE STORY! :) Hopefully Sly Cooper will do well in selling so that We could get New Sly Cooper games, I don't want this series to end and same with Pokémon, but I know some day those both will end, and I think Sly Cooper Series will end much faster, I would like Sly Cooper games to be A LOT longer with a long STORY, and tgat EVERYTHING about the WHOLE STORY of Sly Cooper Series would be told in Sly 8-10 Games! It was actually a reference to the word Clockwork, meaning "a mechanism with a spring and toothed gearwheels, used to drive a mechanical clock, toy, or other device," owing to his mechanical nature.

Three things: 1. If the Cooper gang is trying to keep Clockwerk from being reassembled, what was was the point of removing the wings, which were welded onto the statue? 2. The Contessa's husband dies, that makes her... a black widow. Why have I never seen anyone comment on that before? 3. Jean Bison in his backstory. "John" Torrence at the end of his story. Notice any similarities?

It was more of taking them and disposing it properly. Remember how each part had a use? There tail feathers alone make indestructible printing plates for counterfeit money. Destroying them is much more better then leaving them alone so it can fall I to the wrong hands.

There’s not much info regarding where he grew up, he was probably apart of a group of South American miners in the 1850’s that travelled up to Canada for gold, and stayed there hundreds of years later to tame the wild north as what Sly said, he picked up some Canadian slang so there’s that. Or his parents where originally from South America and moved up north. That’s also a possibility.

And look hiw that turned out, got fucked up in the first, almost got back up due to all the oarts reassembled, and where Neyla would use that and attempt to continue what he started, with the hate that powers her immortality, then destroyed again, entirely and for good, when carmileta destroyed the Hate chip, dude probably never learned his lesson when he waa alive prior to his defeat, and even would Clock-la, so SOL for them.

People underestimate my boi Bentley but he was still kicking ass in sly 3 and 4 ❤ I like Murray but he didn't have enough character development. We all just like sly.

I’m really annoyed that they got rid of the cards scene in dimitri defeated in the HD trilogy collection for sly 2. It’s not even that big of a deal in all honesty.
