This ending is so depressing. It felt like you didn't accomplish anything, sure you defeated Le Paradox and recovered all the ancestors' canes but Sly's stuck in Ancient Egypt, he'll never see his friends Bentley and Murray or his girlfriend Carmelita again. Also the damage Le Paradox has done to Bentley was so severe because he indirectly destroyed Bentley's relationship with Penelope. Like I said why this ending is so depressing is because you don't feel like you accomplished anything after defeating Le Paradox and recovering all the ancestors' canes, you just feel down, you can see the damage Le Paradox has done to Sly's friends and his girlfriend. When I saw this ending like multiple times I wanted the series to make a Sly Cooper 5 game so badly like my levels to have the series make a Sly Cooper 5 went through the roof like 900%.

I know, right? Most people don't even know that the secret ending (the one that reveals that Sly ended up in Ancient Egypt) exists and say that this game is crap because of it. They also say the story is shit, but then again this game followed up from Sly 3 - trying to top that game is a tall order as is.

@@GlitchanBlack Also Le Paradox is the most hated antagonist in the Sly Cooper series because he didn't have a lot of reasons to hate Sly and instead he caused so many problems throughout the story including indirectly destroying Bentley's relationship with Penelope. If Bentley faces or confronts Le Paradox I can guarantee that Bentley will make it personal.

I have a better idea, remake the first 3 games, give a better send off to at least the third or rework the ending of that a bit so it’s open ended. Easy money for Sony but I doubt that’s going to ever happen.

I may not like the 4th game 1:56-2:06 but Bentley words should be long time fan's words

I think that the fifth Sly Cooper game may be focussed on time just like the fourth one since there are other relatives that Sly Cooper has and it would be nice to see their skills and personalities too.

Yeah, easier said than done. Just recon thieves in time and remake the first 3. Also rework the ending so it’s more open ended for a different sequel.

Me: Hmm. According to my memories, Sly might be stranded in Ancient Egypt. We can probably find him there. Classic Bentley: If Sly *was* in Ancient Egypt, then that's where we'll go. Classic Carmelita Fox: Then let's go save Sly. C-3PO: But, Master Cory, I don't think-- Me: Alright, if you're worried about me than Sly, then you're coming with us, Threepio. (To the Cooper Gang) We'll see if mummies can tear off robots than humans. C-3PO: What? Max (Sam & Max)/Classic Clank: (Giggling) C-3PO: Oh no...

@@GlitchanBlack The secret ending makes it worse actually, because it ends on a cliffhanger. A cliffhanger that will likely never see resolution due to Sly 4’s commercial failure. Whereas Sly 3 had a definitive ending.

@@treddox5880 My opinion on the endings: Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus: Accomplished, since you recovered the Thievius Raccoonus, defeated the Fiendish Five, and escaped Carmelita. But the cliffhanger in that game was actually worthwhile. Sly 2: Band of Thieves: Pyrrhic victory, since Clockwerk has been permanently destroyed, but at the cost of Bentley being paralyzed, Murray traumatized, and Sly is arrested to reinstate Carmelita. But at least he escaped. Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves: True victory, since all the main characters have a happy ending as they go their separate ways. But Sly revealing he faked his amnesia is a twist best saved for the end. Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time: Miserable, since Sly has disappeared somewhere in ancient history, and his friends may never find him. Ending on an unresolvable cliffhanger makes it even harder on us.

@@JCDragon2819Honor among thieves should rework the ending a bit so it didn’t seem like sly outright left his friends. Other than that, fully agree.
