The bad guys pretty much proved how a proper sly cooper film could be handled.

It’s like no one in the production team doesn’t know the sentence “make up your mind already and the show must go on for the audience” yet they could’ve been successful at this point.

It’s really been 10 years huh? Back when I was in my mid-teens having high hopes for a next sly game after 4th one and now I’m a adult still hoping for that sequel i’m not giving up the hope one day

The biggest shame is that the design for Sly himself looked rather nice. Would be interesting to imagine what a remaster of the older games could look like. I know it would be a bit of a break with the comic style they had going on but still, I'd find it fun to see the characters more animated overall. Could be fun.

If a Sly Cooper Movie or TV Show is to happen it would need to follow what the animation style that the Spider-Verse movies, The Bad Guys, Puss in Boots The Last Wish and TMNT Mutant Mayhem had, which I like to think that the Sly Cooper games kinda started.

Jak and Daxter and Sly Cooper may or may not have a new sequel game and movies and/or series but they will always be here for all of us 😊❤ I had a lot of fun playing those legendary games.

Man, can’t believe it’s been 10 years since the Sly Cooper Movie trailer released. Really hope PlayStation Productions handles the Sly Cooper Movie and TV Show. Plus, it would be cool to see the Sly Cooper Movie in the Spider-Verse Animation Style. Oh yeah Vivi, if you have seen the Shrek Movies along with the Puss in Boots Movies including The Last Wish, I noticed that both Shrek and Sly Cooper had 4th entries (Shrek: Forever After and Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time) that led to both of them being dormant for the last 10 years. With the potential of Sly and Shrek returning, it’s possible that we might get Sly 5 in 2025 along with Shrek 5. Not saying that it’s confirmed that Sly will return in 2025, I’m just predicting Sly’s potential return.

Also, fun fact: One of the animators who helped with the Ratchet & Clank movie, Alan Camilo, was also an animator on “The Emoji Movie”, according to IMDB? Yeah… Thankfully, not all hope is lost. Because Eric Cheung, who was an animator on the “Ratchet & Clank” movie, was also an animation supervisor for “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem”. That and animator, Anna Gopin, was also an animator for movies like “Sausage Party”, “Ratchet & Clank”, and even “Spies In Disguise”.😁👍🏻 And we all know “Spies In Disguise” has my favorite animator in it, Kevin Temmer, who’s also a lead animator at Glitch Productions for “The Amazing Digital Circus”.😁👍🏻

Dang. It's a darn shame the sly cooper movie got canned back in 2014, and there's no announcements, including a tv show based on a video game. Some people can create a updated sly cooper movie with the dreamsworks bad guys animation style. That will be dope.

I feel kinda a bit disappointed to be honest of what they could’ve been to my favorite franchise in my childhood, but I can’t believe is been a long time for this.

When I saw the trailer for this movie, I was really excited waiting to see another trailer waiting for this movie to come out and I never did. I think it would be really cool sly cooper got his own movie and then a TV show but we never got a movie of this and never a TV show of this I really find annoying and really hate it when you see a trailer for movie you’re really excited to see and really want to see this movie but then it’s never released and never seen the light of day releasing a trailer for a movie that’s got everyone excited and then not go forward to make the movie after seeing the trailer and not releasing it is a really cruel thing to do

Honestly, given how the Ratchet and Clank movie turned out, maybe its for the best this movie was cancelled. Because Kevin Munroe really was the wrong person to do Ratchet and Clank's first movie. Given how rushed the story was in that film. I feel if Sony were to try another shot at a Sly movie, they'd want to do it with someone who understands the franchise well and is actually passionate about wanting to bring Sly to life in movie form.

I was 14 when the teaser came out and I remember seeing it and being absolutley hyped. I was already hyped for the R&C movie and was looking forward for a time where we get a lot of animated movies of Sony properties. R&C disappointed me of course but when I checked up (I think it was 2016 or 17) the status of the movie, thats how I came to your channel back then because you were the only one covering the movie. I will turn 25 this year and still cant believe that the announcement was 10 years ago. Damn I feel so old now. I still dont understand how they were just quiet about the movie and never made a statement or smth. Same thing goes for the tv show. I think it would've made more sense to go with a movie for this because it's got the least amount of content, Ratchet had many things goin' at the time, it didn't need a movie, that life of Pie short was the only time it took it's concept back to the original PS2 era, while I'm not a Sly fan, I think it deserves all it can get right now

We need more games like Epic mickey with a hub as dense as main street, basically one open area connecting the levels I feel like that could have helped Sly a lot more than just making everything linear making things a lot more emersive as EM which is what a lot of movie tie ins did. Big open worlds that felt lived in and not just empty hubs EM 2s hub was the same. one big town split off into two sections as the result of an earthquake with collectables scattered around like scrap metal and cloth. cloth being used to purchase things like outfits that are only cosmetic but still cool, though a lot of the stuff you collect is mainly for upgrading

Let’s just hope my idea for DreamWorks Animation and PlayStation Productions reviving the “Sly Cooper” movie goes through. And I do hope Troy Quane and Nick Bruno can help direct it.

Honestly I think Sly Cooper more fits for as serialised show. With each episode progressing the plot. I think 12 episodes with 20 min run would be sufficient. With 1 & 12 being exception and being longer.

If the Ratchet & Clank movie taught me anything, than it pretty much kept the franchise from becoming forgotten about for a few years until Rift Apart came out. There’s no doubt the Sly Cooper movie would’ve failed at the box office. But, if the movie did came out, than Sly Cooper would’ve still been alive for a couple years until Sony decided to allowed Sucker Punch or some other developer to make the next Sly Cooper game for the PS5. And if the TV Show had been a thing, than there would’ve been new fans who’ll grow up with Sly Cooper as well as playing the games. Sly could’ve been one of PlayStation’s Recurring Franchises in both Gaming and Mainstream. Here’s to hoping the Twisted Metal series would allow Sony to make a new Twisted Metal game.

I'm hoping they either go along with making the movie or TV series or they full on do a reboot of the games so that newer gen can play it, I sadly don't know how I'd play the original games (although it was fun playing a demo for it on a Ratchet & Clank disk, on ps2)

If I'm being real here this IP shows more potential for a movie than Jak and Daxter, the ideas for this rumoured Jak movie sound off-the-walls bad, making it live-action and casting Hollywood actors? I'm not up for that, Sly movie was already a much more anticipated subject than a J&D movie and it confuses me why nobody's taking advantage of that yet, Jak is much harder to adapt and definitely wouldn't work for just a movie, a show in CG or anime is a way better idea I can see that working

My opinion is that they are to focused on the space rat and his robot cuz I was a jak & dexter fan and I loved playing the sly cooper games I own 1-3 and I played 4 then it just cutts out for jak n sly but ratchet gets the spot light 24/7 even though in the past they were all equals at one point in time but in reality they RE DID ratchet for some reason if you ever noticed it he acted similar to jak in the past games always wanted to blow stuff up, always want action, he was short tempered, and wasn't scared to go in without a plan plus he wasn't the brightest in the galaxy which is why he had a "robot" that was smart AF he's a completely different person now that's why after his REBOOT I stopped playing his games the disrespect to his peers wasn't ok with me but they got the nerve to put them in HIS game like WTF

Honesty the show should have been first bc we'd get a 3 season show it will be the original trilogy i don't want to beat the dead horse or over milk the cow but thieves in time didn't get my love to the franchise. Back to my coment in show the seasons will grow with audience like the single series franchise candy candy. It was a kid knowing what to do and get to grow more the show. Season 1 in 18 but focus on audience to teens, season 2 ends with 20's and end season 3 in mid 20's to finish the show like leverage. The show had 2 serieses : classic and redemption classic was in 2000's redemption came 20 years after the show stared. Well the show didn't bring back all the og cast some were fired, some passed away, some did return its why i like redemption they are not eating at nostalgia they're bringing what the characters had been up to for the years.
