Ten years on from the death of her superstar husband, Rita Marley discusses Bob's legacy and her relationship with the most influential figure in reggae and world music. Rita reveals that Bob Marley never made a will, and on his deathbed told her he assumed all future royalties would go to Rita and the children, unaware of the litigious struggle that Rita would be forced to endure following his premature death in 1981.

I love her. A woman of grace, humbleness and strength. She used to ride her bicycle in Trench Town during the early years selling Bob’s records when he was a nobody, that’s how much she believed in him. Rita was there from the beginning to the end and has carried on his legacy since his death. She truly loved BOB! The Empress of the Marley legacy!

Bob was from the country and they didn't approve but she went against them after he became rich

I wished the interviewer would have allowed Rita to completely finish some of her answers. She was cutting her off when she was giving her answers. Rita was speaking so many interesting things that I wanted to hear.

exactly - every time she was getting into saying something she butted in - terrible interviewer not interested in the answers/deliberations just her questioning... awful While Rita Marley is the personfication of grace, humblessness and there is a profoundness to her - God bless her and it is beautiful to hear Bob is WITH her - he has never left her.

They forget that. She was with Bob during the 60s in the early Wailers when it was just Bob, Bunny and Peter doing harmonies on a lot of the early stuff. I remember reading Rita used to be heavily pregnant with Bob in the studio working alongside him. She knows the struggle of grinding with him from the beginning.

So proud of Rita. Even though Bob cheated he seemed to love and understand that he should be proud of his wife. His other kids seem to love her too. To think it was 10 years after she lost her husband. She's a strong woman and has built his legacy. Bob's only wife

He was very disrespectful. I love his music and his message but he loved none of those women. It seems he was a wounded prophet. He had a message but he was fighting his own demons. Maybe he lacked self worth from being rejected by his dad and the white side of his ancestry. To heal the wounds of his tortured mind, he slept around to find even temporary solace.

I always knew that Bob Marley was a chosen one, and to see his mom admitting it in an interview is awesome. His near death experience 1976 triggered his spiritual awakening and he went into isolation in London. He produced Exodus when he was awakened✨💫 not everyone will understand this, but those who know will do✨💫👑

Beautiful love you Rita I read the book so powerful full of love, betrayal, trust and loyalty to the end. Bob promised Rita she would always be his wife and no one could penetrate that circle with his wife and children. Many women tried and failed he loved Rita to the end.
