SM 79 SPARVIERO: restauro 2023

Si tratta di un restauro realizzato con criteri conservativi, come quelli che si eseguono sulle opere d’arte: si conserva quanto più possibile dell'originale, come testimonianza storica, e si restituisce l'estetica originaria. Le tele “antiche” molto danneggiate ed irreparabili, ma pur sempre originali, infatti non sono state eliminate, ma conservate sotto quelle moderne, per eventuali studiosi del futuro. L’attuale livrea, scelta da un comitato scientifico dell’Aeronautica Militare, è la più corretta, visto che tra quelle precedenti due erano di fantasia, realizzate dopo la musealizzazione, ed un’altra eseguita con i colori dell’Aeronautica Libanese, forza aerea per la quale l’aereo era stato appositamente ricondizionato (1950), dopo essere stato restituito all’Italia nel 1967. Il restauro completo è durato 4 mesi.

L'Italia è un grande paese di tecniche e di amori. Rispetto per le tue tecniche, la tua storia (aerei, auto, barche, dipinti, musica, vini, cibo, filosofia). Anche una buona parte degli italiani sint ben vestiti, con gusto. È davvero una cultura. Unica. Un umile francese. Viva l'Italia. Mi vergogno di non parlare più perfettamente la vostra lingua, ma ogni volta che torno nel Paese dei miei antenati, rivivo.

This plane was the first non-US model airplane I built as a teen. I remember to this day picking it out and my dad saying I went over to the dark side, LOL. I just thought it was the coolest-looking plane and actually built it up quite nicely for a 13-year-old boy back in the mid-1980s. I had to buy an airbrush to paint the intricate patterns of camouflage. I was so taken by the design and that camouflage that I ended up building a couple WWII Italian fighters to go along with it. This is an excellent video. Very high-quality editing and producing. I really enjoyed it.

Tragic that a machine so beautiful as this was used on the wrong side of a world war. Italians are such amazing engineers, designers and people - it goes to show how populism can cause havoc... delighted it survives...and we all learn.

Lo conocí armando modelos a escala.Gran trabajo de restauración.Soy un gran admirador de los diseños y ingeniería Italiana.Creo que nadie supera los diseños Italianos,lamentablente siempre copiados,sin dar crédito a sus verdaderos creadores.Disfruto hace años de una Moto Guzzi T5 1000.Y he tenido varios Fiat. Vivo en Argentina,un país agradecido por el aporte de tantos Italianos de buena fe que han venido a compartir nuestro pueblo.Forza Italia y Viva Argentina!!!!

SM 79 Sparviero il "Gobbo Maledetto" !!!!: era l'aereo preferito da mio padre quando portava le truppe di paracadutisti, durante la II guerra mondiale!!! Mi raccontava che, contrariamente agli altri aerei, per "dare motore" le tre manette bisognava tirarle indietro invece che spingerle in avanti!!!! 😎

Buongiorno, ho seguito con attenzione il restauro del vecchio Gobbo Maledetto... Complimenti per la dedizione e l'amore spesi nell' impresa.... Mio padre, scomparso nel 2020, ha fatto il servizio militare a Vigna di Valle ; ho una sua bellissima foto accanto all'ultimo Cant Z 501 rimasto in servizio... Sarebbe orgoglioso del lavoro fatto dai restauratore Complimenti!

Credo che lo Sparviero sia uno tra i pochi re di versatilità dell'aviazione. Nato come aereo di linea, detentore di record di velocità era una delle macchine più temute degli anni '30 . Attore protagonista in Spagna , Libia, Grecia, Jugoslavia, Malta e Mediterraneo. Gli fecero fare pure l'aereo silurante e in questa caratteristica si fece rispettare e temere anche dagli avversari. Col picco delle prestazioni della battaglia di mezzo Agosto 1942 . Fu ovviamente poi sorpassato dall'evoluzione tecnica , ma coi suoi piloti diede il massimo per la nostra aviazione. Complimenti agli restauratori ed ai curatori del museo.

Hallo I´m German --I think you said --this was an amazing airplane --I agree --so mostly they talk about german and us fighter´s and even british--ITALIA has a great history of great planes -----If time --only one question I never solved --the german luftwaffe gave out an order (1944): that german pilot´s need a special training to use ITALIAN ww2 planes --because --the italian powerhandel acted 180 degrees to "german opinion" (a lot of accidance happend to german users) ---// Hope my short sentence give you the meaning of my question!? --I like Italian planes ..Fighter and support planes --and there was a LONG RANGE BOMBER too (about this plane / and what the crew and mechanics thought about it -I haven´t found enough information) -- thx for the clip of a workhorse (like Ju88) of the ITALIAN AIRFORCE WW2 --and were / where they used after WW2 too--bye tue rollf

HI . mainly by Lebanon . In fact that's where they were so lucky to find the survivors of the today's 2 museums we do have . The " Caproni" in Trento and the bigger close to Rome ( Vigna di Valle ) . Your text has the strike but if I am reading well you question , the answer is the Piaggio P108 , it was our long range bomber . @@rollfpeters5159

Me encanta este avión, sobre todo está versión.. Enhorabuena por el magnífico trabajo de restauracion.. En España, tras nuestra Guerra civil, quedaron en servicio un buen número de ellos.. Tristemente, en la actualidad no queda ninguno.. Saludos.

Anche lo Sparviero è un pezzo della historia della Spagna. Nella guerra civile (1936-39) ne arrivarono 100 , da questi 34 ( matricole 28-30 a 28-63), furono volati de spagnuoli e gli altri 66 (matricole 28-64 a 28-124) da italiani. 91 sopravvisero a la guerra

Whilst a lot of work was completed, a full restoration would have been far, far better. This is a historically important airframe.

Mio Zio fu mitragliere su questo tipo di A/M, la Sua guerra durò molto poco,trasferito in Libia,venne catturato e fatto prigioniero dagli Inglesi pochi giorni dopo,traferito a San Diego torno’ a casa dopo tre anni; La cosa peggiore è che i miei nonni non ebbero sue notizie per moltissimo tempo e lo credettero morto.

The fighter next to the Sm79 is the Fiat G55 Centauro, the only one fighter survivor in the world.

Ottimo restauro, tuttavia lasciarlo senza alcuna insegna di reparto non si può vedere. Anche se qualche esemplare girava così non si può, ad esempio, domenticare che uno stormo si è guadagnato una MOVM sul campo.

Un capolavoro! Mi hanno detto di un incidente con SM 79 nel 1943, in esercitazione vicino Modena, dove mori un aviere italiano. Qualcuno ha degli elementi? Data , circostanza, etc? Grazie.
