for everyone Kwangya isnt just a word SM made up, its an actual korean word that means something like wilderness when translated. You could literally put kwangya into any song and it would probably fit in. All the SM songs with kwangya in it make sense if you know korean however its just international fans look at SM subs where they put "KWANGYA" instead of the translation so fans think its some made up word lol.

I think since SM made it so Aespa has like their own fantasy world in their MVs KWANGYA just became like a separate world that consists of the SM artists which may explain why SM puts KWANGYA instead of the actual lyric

I highly doubt most people are going around watching other sm artists only to heard them saying kwangya if they weren't already listing to them. The casual stans or people which only stan one sm group won't care about it, only SM stans which already like more sm groups care.

This will give them all a chance to get to know the other groups better & get into them too :) Also a concept as complex & interesting as this might be enough to make a casual fan into a more invested one. It's worked before 🤷🏽♀️

@@hedersonlopes9280 but did you start to pay attention to other sm idols or you are just watching random videos about the concept? is not that hard to watch 1 min video and random videos about smcu (or whatever is the name) and mostly everybody watch random videos but unless this make you get into the groups is useless. Most people won't get into another group just because sm forced "kwangya" into one song, this even piss out the stans which want their group not involved with other sm groups.

@@SicaRun people like to connect the dots for themselves and catch other things. It wont just be the word KWANGYA, the SMU is going to connect through the groups and fans of individual groups will be interested in how other label-mates play into the story. Curiosity is the best marketing tool.

Come to think of it. It's actually a genius idea. A multiverse like spiderverse. A crossover between SM Idols and groups. Knowing SM, they are the leader of Kpop innovation. They are the Kpop house of the 1st girl group, 1st biracial group, first super-size girl group, 1st kpop soloist to dominate Japan, 1st kpop training system. KWANGYA (광야, Gwang-ya) is a word in Korean meaning "wilderness". Wilderness means the wilds, waste, jungle or desert. KWANGYA is a world where the avatars live.

I think that we are experiencing Kwangya now in a different plain because SM has tied everything together. Aespa and NCT will show us how crazy can Kwangya really become. Also during last year we saw the introduction of new antagonist, The Black Mamba.

Kwangya is the equivalent of the "jyp" but more tasteful and less creepy than having the jyp whispering before or after most songs

Kwangya has been around since 14 years ago? In the Smtown summer song 2007 music video. Which is sung by BoA, CJHS the Grace, TVXQ, and super junior there is the word Kwangya in the Yoochun part (ex-TVXQ) Kwagya there translates as "valley" So Kwangya has been around for a long time.

you can see in: SMCU the origin, that Kosmo was before kwangya. Every other group (the older ones) except Nct and Aespa lived in kosmo a universe where exos planet and other planets are. I’m SMCU origin Giselle explains kwangya. It was made of the 5 gods (logos of suju, snsd, shinee, Exo and red velvet were shown) so they created kwangya a new world for nct and aespa. But all artists can still visit the place. Nct can visit kwangya through dreaming and aespa through wormholes/portals.
