The Nintendo Wii is one of the greatest and best selling consoles ever, and for me a wrestling fan, the main reason I ever wanted one was was the fact that they had Smackdown vs Raw 2008 on the console. Not just a port, but a special game that used motion controls. It was an experience that everyone assumed would be amazing. Imagine doing a taunt in real life and the wrestler did it in the game. Imagine choosing what move you wanted to do with your motion and not a button. Sounds amazing right? but was it? Lets find out because prior to this video I had never played it. Lets go back to 2007 and play Smackdown vs Raw 2008 but on the Nintendo Wii

I remember 09 on the Wii improved it a lot. Entrances had interactivity, you could rip up crowd signs, RTWM, good match types- shit was awesome.

This is the version of the game I grew up with. I was pissed that I was ripped off compared to the Xbox 360 and ps3 versions. Thank god, SVR 2009-WWE 13 on Wii was actually like the other console versions

I would go to my friends house and play SVR 07 on the PS2, I was so gassed to get 08 on the Wii, definitely was let down by the lack of modes but I forgot how responsive the gameplay was until Pav brought it up, so much nostalgia. I never wanted to put it down until 09 came out. Another sweet Wii release, after that I finally bought an Xbox 360 for the anticipation of 2010. What a time to be alive

First WWE game I’ve ever played. I was 5 years old at the time and SVR 2010 just came out. This was my first ever wrestling game I owned and for Christmas my Parents had asked us what we wanted and we were young and dumb and I was 8 so we got the wii for Christmas 2007 and got this game . At the time I was so into wrestling so much and the undertaker was my favorite wrestler and I used to watch only smack down because we didn’t have cable and smack down would air every Friday on cw mannnn you really brought back memories for me , when I played it I remember how limited it was in what you could do but I remember the next Christmas I got SVR2009 and it was way better and had more match types

Never thought I'd see this. This was my first wrestling game ever and my first exposure to wrestling. It was crap, of course, but my 4 year old ass didn't care and just wanted to make caws. Also, '09 on Wii is actually kinda cool and had interactive entrances and all the modes. Once 2010 happened they just ported over the ps2 versions. Edit: after watching it I didn't expect that you would like it so much. I might pick it up again soon...

SVR 2009 on the Wii is more interactive. Plus, in Hell in a cell or Extreme Rules underneath the steps, you can find thumb tacks and it's useable. It isn't perfect but, it's in the game

I still have smackdown vs raw 2009, 2010 and 2011 on wii and I really wish I still had my wii. 2009 was not bad but the motion controls were a pain especially for entrances. Then surprisingly they dropped the motion controls for smackdown vs raw 2010 which was honestly a great idea.
