Have you heard of the newer DTV by Siser? It uses an inkjet printer, the vinyl is supposed to be flexible (not stiff like traditional printable vinyl), and you've already got the cutting machines. I want to try it myself for my shop, but I'm nowhere near as established or experienced as you.

I looked at those printers and slowly backed away. My brain is already filled with too much information about other things and I feel like I would start throwing things in frustration. Good luck with whatever route you choose to go moving forward.

Dtf can still be great, it's just about finding the right model of printer for your needs. Personally I use crio, the sheets you can get pretty powdered, and don't have to shake cartridges every use

Had to smile….. DTF is still a transfer on a garment so will have a short life span compared to other methods, really it’s just a new idea that is cheaper for start ups. Have fun ❤

That DTF printer segment is so interesting to watch. I saw my local online sellers starting to offer DTF printed images lately and I was so curious about it (usually they offer silk/screen printing stuff)

This helped motivate me so much! I think my motivation has been so-so this week due to what’s been happening over here in the UK this week and I think it’s just been a hectic/crazy week and that’s partly been the reason why I haven’t felt too motivated recently. It’s okay to take time to process everything. It feels like a punch to your gut and the last few years have been destroying everyone I think. We never had time to properly cope. I felt guilty about taking months off from my art and Etsy after my dad suddenly passed away in June. Sometimes the best thing is to do nothing when there’s serious things going on. I certainly don’t work my best. My thoughts are with everyone in the UK 🇬🇧 ❤️

well they don't its just a printer of theirs that you convert, if you are a small business or do more for fun etc you are way better off getting sublimation tote bags and get a cheap printer and use subllimation inks and a cheap heatpress, also maybe if you have a cricut you can get printable htv where the cricut cuts round the image and you heat press it onto stuff so it's good for sublimating onto cotton

@@marklola12 I agree with Mark, I would invest more in sublimation than this DTF printer, I ended up returning it, but my sublimation printer has been a brilliant investment even now!

@@KatnippStudios even printable htv is good, I have started to use this stuff made by HTVRONT also where you make a silhouette of the image you want to sublimate and you use the cricut to cut it out, then you heatpress that onto the material then you print out using sublimation ink and paper the image and then you lay it over the HTVRONT film and heat press it onto it. So far it has been better than using printable vinyl The dtf printer I got is good though but I am not sure the results are any different than using printable htv etc because at the end of the day....you are still just sticking down the image onto material so it's more or less the same I feel. And it's way too fiddly..also it costs way more when you have mistakes than sublimation and htv does :0

I can understand returning the printer. Because I am very small I am using a print on demand company even though I have all the equipment to convert a new printer to a sublimation printer. Glad to see you are back to printing sticker packs I need to get my but in gear and just do it…

I’m looking into print on demand! Have you felt it’s worked for you? May I ask what companies you use? I have my Etsy shop linked to printify, but I got very scared. I just worry about shipping and quality, but then it’s such an expense to have my designs on multiple things and if they don’t sell it’s a loss on my end. It’s exhausting to make just prints and my greeting cards even my bookmarks and I wanted to add some more products like journals, but I don’t know if they would sell.

The process for the dtf printer looks just like what I learned last week and used on a batch of cotton shirts using my sublimation printer on films and the powder. Check out the Makers Gonna Learn channel and their “2022 sublimation hack you need today “ video that explains it all. The only thing you can’t do would be print white. I was surprised watching your video how close the process is! It’s actually super easy and kinda fun once you get it down!

I think for the brush you mentioned you could change the blending mode as to keep that overlap from happening! It's probably set to multiply or something similar. Worth checking out at least to see if it "fixes" it and so you could keep using it! (Unless the reason you were using it really was just for that overlap effect haha)

Gosh... there'd be both high levels of excitement and stress having that DTF printer. If the outcomes were more successful than unsuccessful, I could see how the stress would subside. If it's the other way around, I'd be bitterly disappointed. But you don't know until you give it a shot!!

You may know this BUT when it comes to the DTF i know you said yours does not have a stirrer for the white which is prone to cogging BUT even with a machine with a stirrer make sure you do atleast 1 print per day.....even if you do not need to use it. nearly all DTF machines clog and block both where the inks are and also the print head sections. its way worse than normal printers or sublimation....If the print head/cartridges get blocked use a syringe and take out the blocked colour or all of them shove the syringe where the ink comes out and pull the end of the syringe so the ink comes through it

The results for me while good are not far off being the same as printable htv or like I said in other comment that stuff you cut out and out onti cotton then sublimion onto it

If you like the texture of the marker pen but don't like the "overlapping" of the color you can actually turn that OFF!! :D just click on the brush in Procreate, go to "Rendering" and set the blend mode to "normal" instead of Multiply (or linear burn, I can't remember what it is by default). You can always duplicate the brush if you like the overlapping for other stuff!

Its totally upto you, the only reason I got another ipad is so I have a really small sketchbook on the go, but otherwise I am still happy with my super old one and it still works perfectly so I didnt feel the need to upgrade!

I really need to save up to assault your store 😆every time i watch you i get more in love with your designs! I don't blame you returning the printer, it seems like a hell of a job just to take good care of it and i still can't imagine the insane amount of learning you would have to do to get every piece printed right 😑 Sweetie, mind your liquid intake during the day as it can "train" your stomach to fill up on it and speed up the digestion process. You don't want that! we have to keep the food so our body can take out the good stuff before it passes too quickly and you lose all those precious iron and vitamins. I'm 10 years in (yes, i watch both your channels 😍) and i think i can only drink half a glass at a time and get super full.. better yet, a liter and a half of water a day is an utopia for me lol I know i should drink more water, and when you get pregnant forget this and take as much as you can, but in the beggining take it slooooow 😄it's crazy town inside us until we get to that more stable phase, and when you finally get there you'll get some crazyness every now and again lol Keep up the good work, love 😘

nice purchase but it's ALOT of work. u need to run it everyday.. and DON't run the power cleaning.. u should make a "purge file" of all the colors. I am on my second printer.. the first it out for repair.

I hope these tote bags are not polyester. Every time you wash a polyester bag or clothing it sheds micro-plastic into the water streams.

But i am a make up artist, and i know what a difference it would make to have natural or more natural looking lashes. She usually wears pretty make-up, but the lashes…let’s say not my taste. And it doesn’t need to be.
