This floor layout is for FILIPINO CLIENTS. People commenting about how they want it to be is valid, but saying this layout is ridiculous because it doesn't fit their way of living is none sense. Filipinos do laundry outside. This house is designed for a Filipino lifestyle, hence, the name of the channel "Pinoy."

I understand that this was designed for the Philippines in mind. Extend the carport and lanai to the backyard so that an exterior utility room with space for a washer/dryer and hookups can be incorporated and next to it, there should be a storage closet for outdoor equipment. Most Filipinos hang their laundry out to dry but, a dryer is so convenient during the rainy season. An interior open concept living room and kitchen would be best to allow for better air flow. A split level air conditioner should be optional in the living room and kitchen space for really hot and humid days. All those glass windows could use at least some wooden shutters for typhoon season.

Do not people there need storage for thing? like towels and toilet paper and stuff? that had none! I don't think it's realisitc for even the Philippians. I agree with your ideas though.. I woudnt want my washer and dryer in the back yard and even that cover over the top won't stop rain if it's windy at all so they won't last long in weather. Cute idea but not realistic at all.

@@michaelmullin7941 Ok Michael you made your points why its not a win win for you but nevertheless it is a nice house that cannot be denied, in regards to the downsides you pointed out, granted security is a big concern today and i agree therefore if there's a concern about the carport just substitute it for a garage, #2 too much brick? Air conditioning throughout is a possibility, #3 from the way this house is situated as well as the wall surrounding it i see privacy and here not too many homes are close to this model, there are flowers and grass and front lawn, inside is decorated nicely but could be upgraded or refurnished depending on the style and tastes of the buyer, really the only thing i would want to add here is a pool and hot tub, a extended patio with outdoor kitchen / grill and some sliders to open the back up leading to the pool then add the rest of the wall with tall greenery around for added privacy and then it would really be a stunner but overall Michael this is a nice home with potential.

@@kysmik8214 “Not everyone’s experience is yours.”- means different life circumstances will result in different opinions on whether or not a cute house is too small. “When you call a house cute, it’s code for too small”- their comments blanket calling every cute house too small and not just applying it to their own experience. No where did I invalidate someone else’s experience, I merely pointed out their experience is not everyone’s. They did the blanket statements, not me. I would agree that 3-4 people in a tiny house with one or two bedroom would of course feel cramped and small. I was responding the way I did to point out only that cute doesn’t mean too small, not that cute doesn’t mean small at all or that their cute house isn’t too small for them.

House does not have enough storage (kitchen storage is up high, not easily accessible) (bedrooms need real closets with storage) (need linen cabinets In bathrooms)(needs storage for things like vacuum cleaner, brooms, mops), and having a washing machine in the house would be an essential for me.

A small or tiny house is not practical. Land in my state is very expensive. A single family dwelling with insufficient storage and food prep room, on a plot of land could house three families with just a very little extra space in stacked housing. This country is experiencing a shortage of affordable housing. Affordable does not have to mean cramped sheds, individual but poorly planned housing for single families or dense housing. It can be stacked triplexes or fourplexes in clustrs that have sufficient closets, sufficient kitchen prep and storage space, shared laundry facilities and shared outdoor space. As a child my family of 6 lived in a 2 bedroom, 1 bath apartment. It was in clusters of two story buildings (8 or 12 apartments in a single building.) Shared laundry and laundry drying yards (which could be dispensed with in today's environment but were certainly energy efficient) were available and there was ample and safe green space for community activities where children played. It would have been perfect with one more bedroom and an additional half bath for 6 people. Each apartment had a small storage shed outside for mops, brooms and other similar uses which could be locked. Each family had a carport space with a very small storage box that also could be locked. Developments like that was common after WWII. It was not run down. It was very cramped with two small bedrooms for 2 adults and 4 small children but it wasn't obviously built for desperate people out of cinder blocks with inadequate space to gather as a family or to invite friends over for family occasions.. it wasn't cramped and ugly as some government built affordable housing was. It was adequate but definitely utilitarian. It wasn't finished with very expensive materials. In this time linoleum plank floors and tile counters would do but families could, within given rules, upgrade at their expense with approved contractors to another counter ginish or floor covering or add dishwashers or portable air conditioning units at the tenant 's expense with the caveat that any improvements were to remaine if the tenant moved. Some might upgrade and some might not, but remaining improvements would not increase rent. Those improved apartments could be rented as they become available to extremely low income and more desperate families who qualify by income. Therefore, the poorest families would get most benefit over time as tenants choose to improve thei apaartments and eventually move out. Some families might choose to live in an unairconditioned apartment and save for a home, others might prefer immediate comfort and live in an affordable apartment long term. Again, that kind of improvement would be at resident's expense, this kinid of scheme gives tenants a stake in maintenance and pride in their dwelling and encourages stability. Those apartments of my childhood were a great first home for young couples. Often they moved from this shared, stacked housing that was very affordable to their first single family dwelling. Later, much later, they were converted into condominiums. Upper apartments and lower ones were combined into spacious two story 3 and 4 bedroom condos and they were not available anymore as affordable apartments for young married couples with kids or sin b le seniors on social security incomes. It was a terriffic loss to the housing stock in my city. With appropriate maintenance and good management such utilitarian but very liveable developments could replace dying malls. Such housing stock, properly built, could serve for many, many years and greatly alleviate housing shortages accross the country. This requires federal, state and municipal investment and cetermination. These developments could be built to conserve energy with solar power and good insulation. They could be green projects but not necessarily entirely solar ones. They could be built to conserve water but not be entirely independendent of current water infrastructure. The green space and roof runoff could be built to conserve water for landscape use. Small community clinics and mental health and addiction recovery services could be incorporated into the whole community. I don't see a downside if politicians would cooperate on all levels to build such developments. They would serve well in a changing climate, be utilitarian without being totally cramped and inconvenient. They would not be tall enough to require elevators or the most stringent engineering for earthquake safety or other environmental stress, but would still meet code for lower rise two and three story buildings. If they were built on former mall properties they would already be near enough to transportation infrastructure and water is already accessible and could be adapted as the units were constructed. Parking would not be a problem either. Why aren't we pressing HUD and state agencies to work with municipalities to construct such communities of affordable housing? They need not be horrible temporary and ugly or very crowded places. It worked for me. Additionally, kids cidn't have a chance to misbehave. There were always adults around who would tell your mom if they caught you with a cigarette or if some kid was a bully. Surprisingly, community pressure worked most of the time and fami.ies that shared courtyards bonded and helped each other. New neighbors were quickly integrated into the community culture without formally bring coerced. d

All the other comments are valid, although I’m ok with the closet cabinets. I would make two changes: eliminate the wall between the lr & the kitchen. That will make the space seem palatial. As for the laundry area, I don’t see any room inside for it, but maybe the external one could be enclosed for protection from the weather.

In many asian countries, laundry machines are outside, also wardrobe cabinets are used instead of walk in closets. Most houses in Asia are constructed of concrete, rebar and finished in tile, so you won’t find too many interior walls that use wood studs. This model has nice space saving aspects but should have a mini a/c system at least in the living room and one of the bedrooms. I like the covered front entrance and car port with canned lighting in the ceiling.

Nice looking design. My three problems with it are no bath tub in master bathroom, in the living room the couch and TV placement puts the people's back to the front of the house so you can't see what's going on in the front of the house without turning your head around, so you can't see people coming up to your door, and lastly, grass against the house and walls so you can't mow it with a lawn mower, but have to either hand clip it or use a weed eater, which will damage the walls.

I have a feeling bathtubs are going out of style. As the population ages they become a hinderance and a danger, especially when people use walkers, canes etc. The water used for baths will be cost prohibitive. I see us heading for a shower society, which is not bad. It took some getting used to the idea when first presented to me, but I can see where the advantages will overcome the disadvantages in years to come. My spouse and I play to build our own design and no tubs only showers. VERY nice catch on the grass against the house. That escaped me, but I have seen it in RL and it does tearing up the walls. Costly damage.

Great rendering, I loved it! There are several things I'd change (like a divider wall between the carport and the lanai--nobody wants to look at a car butt while having coffee) and the lack of closets (clean design is one thing, but we all have "stuff" we need to hide), washer/dryer _inside,_ please, plus a larger outdoor sink/play area. LOVED that it's all on one floor, walk in shower areas, clean lines and look without feeling "cold," the exterior "curb appeal" is great, and that privacy wall is fantastic! With a few tweaks you really could have something amazing. Wish something like that could be built here in Texas!

So cute for the right person. Very nice and clean looking. I live in almost 1000 square feet house. I like a kitchen that has more cabinets and shelfs and need a big art studio. I work from home. I have an 8×10 ft painting studio. That is little too small. Living in my 1000 square ft house, I realized the importance of having cooking top space and lots of closet space for towels, winter blankets, proper cooking and cleaning supplies. Other wise it will looks like junk just sitting around the house. Also we get too much snow for that kind of roof. It's still super cute for someone who doesn't have to have too much stuff and doesn't care about a tub, washer and dryer. You need a space for those dirty clothes if they are going to sit around.

Its efficient and quite nice. I also realize once you have a few people living in it space could be challenging but how much do we really need? Additions could include a satellite building in back, perhaps an underground space too for hot days (geography permitting), and some elevated space too.

Yes, perfect for a single person. Cut the kitchen table to 1/3 and include an island with electricity and storage, with full basement for laundry and rec room.

I love drawing floor designs and building in the Sims4. This is a perfect small family modern house for up to five (noticed the full bed under bunk). Nice to have general bathroom and ensuite bathroom. Would enjoy a bit more area in the side lot (for small garden or chicken house :)), but it's QUITE lovely. If so many people can live comfortably and efficiently in RVs--fulltimers--this is plenty area for basic living....a place for everything and everything in its place :)

This is adorable for the “keep it lean” living. Only thing… flat roof.. over time flat roofs pose such a issue with rain, ice and snow damage

Great design and love this simple layout but I would prefer the laundry area to be part of the house not outside as designed...this home wouldn't work as is in the northeastern USA

I would add a wall mounted linen cabinet above each toilet and put a single washer/dryer combo unit in the kitchen. Otherwise cool place!

Very nice concept home, agree insufficient storage, toilets facing into bedrooms is no, no. Bedrooms need to be a little larger and need closets. Outside laundry is nice most of time but washer and dryer are exposed to elements like rain and heat.

I think it's a nice design for a retreat/vacation home. For everyday life too small....but it has many nice qualities. I know the idea is big living in a small place..... Probably better for physically smaller people, just a thought 🤔

Smaller table in dining room, really like the modern touches in these designs. Updated lighting is nice. Just wondering about the flat roof & if there is enough pitch to divert rain.

@@sandysimmer1279 this is an excellent alternative to tiny houses. Lot size would be much cheaper. Anyway to include laundry inside? For cooler inclines?

@@spiritofanu3112 Guest bathroom can become the laundry area. Who would expect two bathrooms in such a tiny house? Yet, most everyone wants a laundry area inside.

It is a beautiful looking house, but the master bedroom needs more space and a walk-in closet. Plus, the laundry should be indoors so the washer and dryer don't get ruined.

This house no doubt looks brilliant However it won't look the same if built in a high density housing estate. The real estate and landscaping makes a huge difference.
