I have the bottom one in brass and I love the thing. I like the heavier feel of the knife and it’s sharp and holds an edge. They are def a underrated company.

When I SMKW first showed a videi last year, I was working about 1 hr away. The next day I drove right there, after working all night & having to work that night, to get 1 knife for me & 1 for my friend.

The only QSP I have is the Pelican. S35 steel on the blade and brown micarta handle scales. It has awesome action opening and closing. Enjoy the weather for getting out in the park😊. Y’all still rocking the reviews. Hey been to two Walmarts and have not found any of the knives that you reviewed for $5.95.

I have a basic one and love it. I have also handled each of the other two versions and really like them as well. I will definitely get a Baby Penguin when I can fit it in the budget. Thanks, guys!

I have a couple of the D2. My first one was best but I just have to my cousin for his bday. He has a ten year old Endura he’s never sharpened lol so an upgrade in cutting. An amazing knife for $35.

I really like the mini penguin. I need a knife under 2.5 inches pretty often, and there aren't that many options with fidgety action. It's both decently fidgety and pretty fear friendly, which I'd nice for a small knife.

Crazy how many variations of the Penguin are available today. I have 3 so far- one OG with D2 and denim micarta a newer one with frag and 154 cm and mokotai with s35vn (Kaviso Outdoors exclusive and ohhhh so sweet). Really like both will be adding to my collection.

I like them alot I like having the same knife but different sizes in the collection I hope they come out with a FRAG version of the mini and plus also they should have named the xl version the king penguin I agree

Enjoyed the video. I remember watching it when it first released. Watched it again because I just got a variation of the style made by Sitivien the model 103. I’m still new to what are acceptable brands and what are just copies of other knifes. Have you looked at the Sitivien knives enough to have an opinion?

Lemme just say… Out of the 4 I have.. all d2 models… 61 hrc consistently across them.. that’s incredible for d2, I heat treat metal for a livin… I like this model so much.. once you sharpen it back into the fresh edge… it STAYS sharp

Yay ! My Baby Penguin is coming tomorrow !! Yes, I am going to call it Baby Penguin. In Australia, the Baby Penguins are retailing for 25% more than the regular size Penguin. Not that I cared but that is a bit weird when you think about it. I wonder if thats also the case where you guys are.

Yeah that's across the board. New mini's are in the $50 territory, +/-. OG in basic configuration is about $35 I think.

I’m just not into the $50 for it.. I can get the plus in 154CM for like $70 and it’s got a 3.3” blade. The mini is cool but for like $39.99 maybe.

I do love the look of the aluminum carbon fiber but have has 2 QSP knives with peeling or delamination issues with it thus far. The carbon fiber must not stick well to the aluminum. Great look but work to do to make it work right i think.

I ordered the base model a few months ago, and after all the glowing reviews I was really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, I was pretty disappointed with it. Blade was way off center and the action was rough and sticky. I took it apart, cleaned it, and polished the washers, which were heavily tarnished and looked like they had been bent at some point. I got the action a little smoother, but was unable to center the blade. I really like the design though. Anyone know if the washers in the base model can be replaced with bearings?

Mannnnnnnn, .41 handle thickness on the Penguin Plus. That's close to my 940. That copper foil might just have me sold, especially with a reversible black wire clip.

Wow - that “demo” mid-sized has the foil on both scales. Wish that was available. The PLUS is just too big and doesn’t have the foil on both sides - bummer.

@@BirdShotIV for 75 you can get one with micarta in m390. Didn't know if you knew that? That's the one I rock as my work Edc. It's easy to sharpen due to the shape. Edge retention is excellent. It's a knivesplus exclusive.
