easy to operate with two heddles. Simple system of rising and lowering them makes it possible for a shed that opens up to the max. The best shed i have seen! (Shed is the space that opens up between the strings where you instert the shuttle with yarn) Assembly is easy and instructions are included. designed and used by a weaver.

Definitely going to buy this loom sometime this summer! Like others, i didn't like how, normally, you have to lift up the heddles yourself instead of basically flipping a switch. I've learned that even tiny little inconveniences will make me so much less likely to do something, so I'm glad i found this loom!

I bought this loom a. While ago and finally got around to weaving. Thanks for the video explaining how it works. It is simple to use and the results were pretty good for a beginner. Nice little hobby loom, highly recommend it.

Great tutorial! It really helped me understand the basics of weaving on a rigid heddle loom. I *LOVE* the design of this loom, where you don't have to fuss with repositioning the heddle to alternate sheds! I'm not sure why a mechanism like this - which is so much easier, faster, and ergonomic to use - is not more common. I've wanted to try rigid heddle weaving for a long time, but the awkwardness of shifting the heddle has always been a barrier. A mechanism like this would make all the difference. ALAS, I don't see this loom on your Etsy shop - could you please update the description for this video if you are no longer making these looms? And perhaps provide link(s) to other looms with a similar mechanism. Thank you!

What is not explained very well is that you are going thru the first slot in the back heddle and thru the hole in the second. I only just understood what you were doing only because this is how you thread a rigid heddle when doing double weave or using two 12 dent reeds for a 24 epi cloth. "String" (warp). "Line" (pick). Helps to use weaving terminology for those trying to learn.

I did have to watch the video like 30 times and mess up many times in order to do it. However, it's probably more useful to mess up a million times and work through it and develop ur own understanding of weaving itself than to just accept and perfectly follow steps and terms on a specific type of loom without deeply considering their connection and the whole idea of weaving. Once work thru it for urself u have a deeper understanding and can experiment various methods with little instructions

I just found your loom on your etsy site! I tried to follow the link in the etsy listing to this video, but for some reason couldn't get through. So I came to KZfaq and typed in "Harvest Loom" and ended up here. You may want to check the link to make sure it isn't broken.

When threading the heddles..does one thread goes through a slot on both heddles, and the next thread go through the holes in both heddles? or does the thread go through the SLOT in the BACK heddle and then through the HOLE in the FRONT heddle...alternating slot (back heddle), hole ( front heddle) and then HOLE (back heddle), SLOT (front heddle)

I think it goes through the slot in the back and the hole in the front. I think it's around 1:04 that she says it.

It's a nice little loom but your demo does not show the where the yarn comes from just that it is on a couple of bottles . How does it get there and from where. Once you start weaving it's good no one could get it started . You need to show the yarn before it gets on the bottles then all is good.
