If you hunt in the middle of lots of wooded parcels, this wooded parcel design video is for you. However, you need to make sure that you study everything going on around your land, so that you can design your own land. Here is how to design a wooded hunting parcel, no matter what the size...

I was half expecting you to call it "a happy little food plot" like Bob Ross at some point. Great video, these give a lot of insight into how you set up and design properties.

Haha, now that's funny 😁 I'm definitely no Picasso lol. Or Bob Ross. But I try, lol

I was having flashbacks to John Madden on the teleprompter drawing the play up. Bam! Whap! He goes this way, they go that way. Good stuff. Thanks Jeff

We own 9 acres set up a lot like your example. Had a small food plot way in the back but I'm moving it way up front behind my shop. Planting some switch grass between my shop and the plot. Not gunna be a hunting plot, just more of a plot to get the deer into our woods sooner in the evenings

Dang Jeff, that scenario is almost identical to our cabin in Roscommon. Gotta love the sandy soil. Foodplot life is much easier down in SE Michigan.

I’m really sad I didn’t get a chance to meet you when you were in Michigan last year at my buddy Todd’s place! I’ve been telling everyone I know about your channel for years now! Lucky me I’m situated between his property and his cousin Jonathan that you’ve also assisted on. I thank you for your knowledge and I do my part to educate the hunters I know around here to try and change old bad habits of deer and property management.

I have 10 acres and neighbors multiple parcels each direction my side of road never go to their lot, out of state land investors and lots passed down for generations unused. A poor abandoned area mainly used for timber. When I put a 1 acre food plot in, it got wiped out, trying to grow fruit and nut trees that can’t be mowed down but takes years to bear well. Working on another 1 acre of food plots but I suspect it will also be quickly mowed down.

Fascinating presentation, lot of good information, even for folks as myself that hunt big public land in Northern Wisconsin that has many cedar swamps riven through it and generally poor soil. Not many deer unfortunately, lol😂

If it wasn't for the sand, the winter rye and clover the gas exploration guys planted in a 3-4acre parcel (reclamation) next to my wooded parcel would be way greener!! I depend on some of the clearings in my Gaylord 40 to hold deer...especially at that elevation (1300ft). Thanks Jeff......check out El Patron when your up in Gaylord for some good Mexican food!

Im in Northern Alberta and while i was hunting for bears this spring in the marsh and swamps i was seeing DOZENS of deer from small to large whitetails and quits a few good size mule deer. So i wouldnt call them "No deer zones"
@whitetailhabitatsolutions9751
@whitetailhabitatsolutions9751 Ай бұрын
Oh for sure...but they are definitely no deer zones if they have deep enough water to swim in 😉 Like the one in this example...
@Official1616Club
@Official1616Club Ай бұрын
@@whitetailhabitatsolutions9751 I could definitely see if they had to be swimming. Caught sight of a good 150-160* buck standing belly deep in the water eating some berry's that were growing in the marsh.

How much do you charge to visit for a land management consult

@whitetailhabitatsolutions9751 Ай бұрын
Hi Matt, $3950 this year but I am booked solid for the rest of 2024. May go up in 2025. Not sure? The rest of the crew is at $2950 per day. I also am very specific as to where I travel to. I visit clients for roughly 9 different trips.

Michigan…lot of time, money, effort for small deer regardless of what is done especially on small acreage.
@whitetailhabitatsolutions9751
@whitetailhabitatsolutions9751 Ай бұрын
It's all relative. Same money. Same strategies. Same goals...build the best h Rd and consistently shoot the oldest bucks in the neighborhood. Not everyone can travel to fantasy land states where Iowa's 165 is MI's 130. Or Illinois's 200 is MI's 165. The success of the journey or quality of the hunter, is truly not measured in total inches of antler.
