Fully understand. Factions does indeed refer to creature factions and many of the NPC's are clearly already alined with a particular type of creature and will craft you armor that matchs that style. How they will develop that feature still remains to be seen but from what I have experienced through play testing the Devs are very responsive to feedback and learning what the players are excited about.

@@Lusewing then that's really exciting and I definitely need to keep an eye on this as it develops. I'll hold off until I see the actual execution, but in a game like this, insects can really get the attention they rightfully deserve, and that goes double for eusocials(bees, wasps, ants, termites). Not only are insects a fundamental, base part of every ecosystem, besides also being awesome ofc, some of them(especially ants but this goes for all eusocials) have functional societies with almost everything our society has, just on a smaller scale. And yet we ignore them or worse, see them as mere pests aaand I'm getting carried away talking about ants. Apologies, I just really love the little things and I'm just really excited to maybe, finally, get a representation in a game that actually does them justice and actually depicts them as the interesting and complex little critters that they are. I could go on and on but don't really wanna write a paragraph... More than I already have... And this isn't really the place to dive into the details of ant societies, even if I could honestly talk about them for probably hours. Anyway, looking forward to more smalland, looks promising so far ^^

@@TheMasterofBlu Oh feel free to geek out about all the little animals that get ignored. I keep beetles, roaches, mantises, isopods and i would love to keep a jumping spider...but my husband says no. I won him round with mantises though so maybe in the future.

@@Lusewing ok, that's really cool. Though you're gonna have to be more specific on "beetles" because they're kinda the most varied group of organisms so there's a lot of things you could be referring to. Mantises, even though I must applaud their hunting skill and their vision (especially given the lack of the latter in most ants, which does sadly affect them, as the most common ant hunting "strategy" is to blindly lunge at where they think the target is. And they do miss, even if usually there's enough ants that this doesn't really matter. Exceptions being notably jumping/bull/bulldog ants, which are 3 names for one type of ant, which have massive eyes which they need to, well, jump accurately. As a result and iirc, they don't actually use many pheromones to find their way back from hunting, but rather memorised landmarks, which is pretty cool for an ant imo). But back to mantises, while they are undeniably epic insects in their own right, they actually are one of the more talked about ones. Isopods (if I'm picturing the right thing, because if I am they have like 20 different names) I don't know much about, besides I think they're decomposers of specifically wood ? And they're well armored. Cockroaches I actually have a fun fact about. See, keeping colonies of ants is actually a thing, and for the more advanced ant keepers, who often have whole terrariums (which, because they're housing ants, are specifically called formicariums) dedicated to ants, along with a bunch of supporting organisms (springtails are the classic example, little cleaners that due to their namesake trait, don't get hunted to extinction by the ants in the terrarium). Cockroaches, being for most species pretty easy to keep and feed if you have a decent idea what you're doing, along with them being fast breeders, are actually often kept alongside ants, in a separate tank ofc, to be used as a food source. Of course, the roaches are kept in good conditions and pre-killed before feeding, to avoid both their own suffering and the harm they might do to the ants. Roaches on their own are still cool because what makes them great to use as food also makes them really good at what they do in nature, even if invasive to I believe quite a bit of the world (tho some ants are similarly widely invasive and absolutely way worse for the ecosystem), the only reason they can survive in colder climates being our heated homes. Do feel free to correct me and expand my knowledge of isopods tho, I'm sure they're really interesting for all of the reasons, I just don't know much about them
