More Americans are driving low-speed electric vehicles, more commonly known as golf carts, instead of cars. But these aren't just any golf carts - some look a lot like miniature hot rods. David Begnaud reports.

do these carts need licensing for the owner as well as registration? In india, If an EV has 250 w motor and speed limited to 15 mph do not need either......but do golf carts fall under the same category if the motor output is 4 - 7.5 kw?

One I want would cost a lot. I want heating and air conditioner, lights so I can see to drive at night. I want a full cover on it to make it like a car. I want a huge truck in the back so I can go grocery shopping. I want window wipers on the front of the cover so I can see to drive in the rain. I want seat belts, to make it safer. And lastly a radio with a CD player.

This EV makes sense and looks great, with gas as your primary vehicle
