This Komatsu micro shovel could swap batteries with your Honda scooter. Honda and Komatsu have started collaborating to make the world’s cutest construction equipment with the electric PC 01E, an electrified micro excavator. The best part is this tiny Komatsu will run on the same swappable batteries that Honda plans to power its electric motorcycles, the Mobile Power Pack (MPP.)
Honda says that Komatsu’s PC01 is already the world’s smallest riding excavator, but they forgot to say it’s the most charming, with its own little plow mounted forward on its treads. The micro shovel has been around for years without the use of electrification, and you can see it in this video.

These are discontinued now. The smallest that Kubota produce is the K005-3 I think at 500kg I wouldn’t mind either a PC01 or the K005 for garden work grubbing our roots where you can’t get in a bigger machine.

I think these machines should have remote controls (either wired or wireless). It would be more comfortable standing or sitting next to the machine. You could position yourself to get better view of what you're doing, and you could maneuver the machine into tighter spaces.

I think it needs your weight to be efficient though. But a separate remote-controlled version with heavy weight added wouldn't be a bad idea.

It can't be remote controlled because the weight of the operator is what produces the digging force. Without a person, when it goes to dig it will just tilt upward and scrape across the surface of the soil.

Less effort no sweating just digging , with Honda gx 160 engine excavator consumes around 1.4 litre (gasoline) fuel per hour .
