Time-3:30 So I see there is still an intact rotor under the parachute. An auto-rotation would would give you much more control over where you land, and perhaps a softer landing. Once you pull that chute you have surrendered all your control.

That was a test. If you lose the tail rotor the chance for disorientation grows; pull the chute. Shuck a blade, seize a gearbox, pull the chute.

They seem to be creating more and more self flying crafts by the year. Many are electric, those are seemingly more expensive, but I’d imagine quieter too. Either way, I have been wanting one for so long it’s driving me crazy! Except for the last one on this list, every one looks like fun, fun, and more fun! Damn the safety, if I die while flying one of the new cutting edge self flyers, I’ll die smiling! 🥳🥳😊👍

Man if I’d had the money for one of these I’d definitely choose a helicopter over other commuter craft, especially the one w the parachute, that’s a deal maker there, should b standard equipment like brakes on a car. It’s ludicrous not to. These r pretty cool, counter rotar spin eliminating the rear stabilizing rotor, great technology, I would love to own one of these far more than a car or anything. Truly a nice precision made single/double occupant craft, bump above a large RC copter. I like the compactness and agility, range, dependability. Truly heads in the right direction

Interesting. Would have been a much better video if you kept the units the same for all the specs - for example fuel capacity was in liters on some, and by weight on others. Speed was in mph or knots - makes it hard to do a comparison.

Finally, a video that appreciates the most genius flying vehicle ever built: the GEN-H4. It doesn't need a computer to fly. Just ride and steer it like a bicycle. It's that easy. And the version with the electric motor is even quieter and more reliable. Because the less parts you have, the less something can break. You would be surprised how less moving parts that version has. That also means, a very reduced maintenance effort. There is a reason why it was shut down. It was just too good. It would have revolutionised the entire transporting sector and have given the users absolute freedom. That surely can never be allowed. That's why we still use cars, buses, motorcycles and trains.

GEN-H4. Дорогая и малопригодная игрушка. Если выпускать автожиры без мотора, они будут стоить не более 1-2 тысячи долларов, и в гараже легко можно самому собрать. И вертикальный взлет не трудно, но немного дороже. Кому интересно, могу предложить с десяток конструкций , дешевле, безопасней и лучше , чем GEN-H4.

1:55 ish in you say the coaxial helicopter has no tail rotor so that it can give all power for lift & that the tail rotor plays no major role, which is true for a coaxial heli. The ONLY role that a tail rotor plays, is one of making the helicopter fly straight. W/O a tail rotor it'll just go in circles.

True, but I think he meant that the tail rotor on a conventional helicopter doesn't actually produce lift; it's just there to counteract the torque, so from that point of view, it's a waste of power compared to a helicopter with two sets of blades that actually produce lift.

🐕I found only one accident. While the Gen4 was in pre-flight testing, which was in a normal attitude, was blown by the wind, moved to a nearby building, and made contact with the building. The aircraft crashed from an altitude of 1.5 m. The pilot was injured but survived. He did not have a helicopter license.🚁

Stopped watching this at 2:06 when the narrator reading his copy said that the "tail rotor plays no major role." What world does he live on? Are we supposed to believe anything he says after that? I hate these channels that churn out a video about mini-helicopters and then haven't got a clue what they're saying. I'm out of here. 'Beyond Facts' is the perfect name for their channel. They've lost this viewer for good.

I was excited to see your post of the EDM Aerotec Coax 2D helicopter. It is shown as having a cost of 38,500 dollars for a dual passenger helocopter. I was ready to put down my deposit and order one. Imagine my surprise to find out the actual cost is 248,000 dollars for the base model, plus shipping to the USA. I understand shipping costs from Germany to the USA might raise the price, but 210,000 dollars more? You need to post more accurate information, as you didn't even get the name right. It's the EDM Aerotec, not DM Aerotec.
