In summer 2015 I drove my boat 4000 km to Kirkenes from where I sailed to Bodo in 14 days. First sailing day was warm and sunny but after I had 5 degrees celsius. Sailing extreme latitudes requires good clothes. I had Sandiline drysuit and sailing extreme weather was a joy. As it was sailing on the ocean I had to be sailing fast so the sailing day would not be to long. Harbors are far away. I like filming sailing videos so I took my gopro camera. My sailing yacht was not the best for this sailing expedition as it was built for lake sailing but I wanted sailing adventure.

Nice sailing in high lattidue so you get mainly light winds force 2 to 4 and occasional 5. I sail a 6m yacht around Scotland east , north and west also orkney and shetland. You must come to Scotland the scenery is just as magnificent as Norway , thd mountain not so high but the climate is much warmer. I really enjoyed your clip.

@@IgorStropnik yes Frank even wore more wool layers than you Igor. Lol You have what looks like an excellant drysuit. I am watching your 10 day winter cruising dingy camping What make is it, and what boat design your Dingy. I m 64 but started Dingy cruising camping at 13 single handed and have always sailed singlehanded cruising Scotland usually with a dog for company.
@IgorStropnik

Drysuit is Sandiline. It is amazing and very durable. Dinghy is Topaz Xenon. Now looking for smaller dinghy as Xenon has too big hull windage for 1 person and had problems at 30kn winds.

FAM 18. I would say Dehler 18 is a better boat than FAM18. But both boats are not suitable for that area. It is only good if you want adventure. Send me link if you will make a film about it.

Dear Igor, what your preparation before starting your sailing advanture ?
@IgorStropnik
@IgorStropnik 5 жыл бұрын
I exercise all year so physical condition is always good. Than there is mental preparation at home in bed which is simulating all the things that can go wrong and finding the solution. And you try to prepare the boat the best you can. The most important thing is motivation to finish the trip. If you don't really want it you don't make it.

@ahonwariandy 5 жыл бұрын
