The sump plug is on the right hand side of the sump.

I've checked my sump after your advice, and unfortunately, my sump doesn't have a drain plug. I think my sump might be earlier than your model. Wat year is your car?

is your car a 600 or 700 cc?

Mine is a 600, I'm worried now!

@@shed52 lol! no need to worry. yea your car has 2.5 litres of oil capacity. it is possible it could have been slightly overfilled. i used a manual extraction pump on the roadster - came out at 3.2 litres. FQ101 website suggests this amount, but evilution suggests 3 litres straight. so possible car is slightly overfilled as the 700 takes a bit more. i did the same thing with the tube - matched it to the dip stick. i think i found it went in further also, but did find a definite stop. if you look at the sump, she does lean forward a bit. get some penetration oil on sump bolts before you go at it.- and you can buy sumps with plug in them, but quality varies. lastly - did you figure out the knocking on the other video?

Thanks for this, and will put some penetrating oil on the bolts before removing the sump. The knocking noise isn't yet resolved. I've replaced both drop links and bushes on the anti-roll bar and will do a spanner check on the X beam next weekend. I was really supprised to see the tube go much further into the sum p, but as you say it might be the angle of the sump to the dip stick tube. Will be interesting to see just how much oil is in the sump, I'm going to leave that job for now, until the weather gets a bit warmer.@@kingoffifa
