In this video I replace the remote key fob buttons/pad and key battery.
These buttons are a common wear item and make the key look scruffy. Fortunately they are available from Smart/Mercedes-Benz dealers.
Key batteries, when depleted, reduce the range of the remote locking/unlocking and should be changed each year to prevent loss of functionality.
The vehicle featured in the video is my 2008 Fortwo Passion 84BHP 451.
The 451 was in production between 2007 and 2014.
