And the worst part is there are fans who will legitimately argue til they're blue in the face that Goku has always been like this. Goku has always been dumb, but not THAT dumb. You can see it very clear difference. Moreover, adult Goku is far more mature than this, acting as a sort of mentor figure throughout Z.

When kami was teaching goku i felt that kami was maturing him and making wiser, and aware of the surrounding in his enviroment so even though his not academic smart his life smart as in he knows what is right and what is wrong and supet just turn him back to kid goku

I'm still holding to the hope that we eventually get a filler chapter or animated episode that shows Goku is relatively smart, like that one fanmade comic where Gohan catch him doing taxes.
