V8 edition isn’t just “badging” and a few extra HP. It has bespoke suspension and drivetrain components and settings. Also, people always overlook the fact that the V8 edition comes fully loaded with all the possible options. If you configure any other trim level with all those options, the price would be very close.

@@nigels6786 two totally different looking vehicles! The G-wagon came out in the late 70's and has only received mini updates here and there and is a good looking vehicle! But if parked next to this Land Rover it's overall shape isn't as modern! Take the Mercedes name off the G-wagon and it would look like a really well kept older platform! Most people want a modern looking vehicle with prestige and though the G-wagon oozes "prestige ", there's hardly anything modern about it exterior wise! Again, the G-wagon is a beast and great looking, but visually I think the Rover is a better looking design and I believe most people would agree with me. You're not one of those people and that's cool!

True. This SUV is so beautiful. It is a head turner. Lol😂. The few times I've seen it on Nigerian roads, I notice not just I that is a car enthusiast looking at it, but others too. Videos and pics don't do it justice until u see it in real life. And it works in all the colours.

Did you have an 8 year warranty on it? Did stuff start going bad after warranty? Just curious. My 2023 defender 90 SE has been solid for 12k miles. I did purchase an 8 year warranty though.

I had bronco and traded for defender. Too much plastic too much noise too much driver fatigue

I have a Bronco Wildtrak and a P400. The Bronco is ok but very cheap dash and interior. Extremely cheap.

It opens, and slides approx half way back.

@@SamCarLegion I think it was DeMurro who had the body panel issue and I spoke with a couple of Defender drivers who confirmed the windshield catching gravel. It's still a compelling package and a versatile vehicle that actually demands that the owner get it dirty. Unlike the G.

@@SamCarLegion all manufacturers have issues from time to time, even Honda and Toyota. How ever year after year Land Rover is last on every automobile reviewers list for reliability. They are number one is being the worst vehicle you can purchase.

I was told Lexus is bulletproof- didn’t have the bulletproof experience. Me and others! Don’t take those lists too seriously, they are dependent on who reports what.

Really? I previously owned a several Mercedes and now this defender but to me Land Rover is much reliable than Mercedes. Mercedes always has too many issues especially when they are brand new.

I’ve had multiple JLR products and they are all hands down more reliable than any of our BMWs or Audis. I have yet to have a BMW delivered with everything working - including a new i7.

Toyota is good, this is better :))

@@SamCarLegion Correction: “This LOOKS better”. No Toyota comes close to looking as beautiful inside and out as this or any other Land Rover model. And no Land Rover comes close to providing the reliability and durability of a Toyota Land Cruiser.
