Nowadays, I think you account for metal shrinkage in your 3d file and go for materials that don’t shrink or expand like Bluecast x-one resin and prestige optima investment. Correct me if I’m wrong

@@AnneJean613 I use Photoshop to create images. Animations are made in PowerPoint. Annotations are made with zoomit. Recorded with obs studio. Audio recorded in audacity. Edited in davinvi resolve...

Sir, after tooth preparation or reducing the tooth size how we get to know about the actual dimension of the tooth? Please reply.

Actually we can't find the actual dimension. That is why we should create a putty index. After tooth preparation, this putty index can be placed over the prepared tooth and the difference in dimension between before and after preparation can be made out.

Got the concept though but m so much confused when it's coming to this sentence, " An investment is described as a CERAMIC material, which is suitable for forming a mould into which molten metal or alloy is cast." ..m not getting how ceramic material is used in this investing process 😵.. It would be really a great help if you explain 🥰

Investment is not an ceramic material. It is a gypsum or phosphate based material.... Sorry if there are some inaccuracies in my pronunciation....

The metal will be melted by the casting machine. Then this molten metal in liquid state will enter through the sprue

@@smartdentistry sir/mam....i actually didnt understand that...when molten metal is applied on wax patern...the patern is wax which is melted then no model will remain Then how it forms replica of that wax patern however it is melted?

Once the wax is melted, the was will burn away leaving an empty space inside the investment material. This empty space will have exact resemblances with the was pattern which melted away. This space will be occupied the molten metal through the sprue@@MS_VLOG..

reservoir not needed

Reservoir is needed in case of large castings. Small castings like inlay may not need a reservoir. But it is a good practice to place reservoir for all castings
