Great review Adam. It may not be realistic, however, I hope that you can compare all of these washing robots on the same dried on stains so that we can get an idea which is the best washing robot.

Does this robot take a surfactant in the water such as 409, Windex, LOC by Amway, etc? At my house I simply use the Bissell steam mop to remove any stubborn stains and they all come up with just a forward and backward pass over the stain and that would include oil stains and rubber skid marks from shoes that have black rubber bottoms or soles. I use distilled water and the floor is not only clean but is also disinfected by the steam. You are 100% correct that none of these mops can clean the dried on materials you place on the floor. If I had one of these robots, I would simply squirt a pre-treatment surfactant first. Next, wait as you have to send the robot out to clean the selected area. A cordless handheld mop with a rotating head still needs hot water at a surfactant. The cost for such a unit is only $150 to $175, but having said that, if I spill or have an accident on the kitchen floor, I grab a sponge dipped in soapy water. I spray the sponge with a cleaning fluid and then wipe the spill. After rinsing the sponge, l rinse the spot. This method takes the least amount of time and is the cheapest. For SENIORS who have back problems the pre-treatment method followed by the robot 5 minutes later would be the easiest and safest way to accomplish that task. Last week I read about a robot that is in the testing stages which uses heated water on a rotating cylindrical mop head but any tried on material still needs a pretreatment... Squirt squirt squirt, then send out the robot. 👍👍👍😊 Videos have improved greatly and short and sweet is still the best! 👌🖐️👋👈

Thx for the review. Other robots would have done better for the following reasons : 1/ This robot does not use enough water as it has small water tanks for a washing robot (compared to ILIFE for exemple) so it does not wet the Stains enough on first pass to remove it easier on second or third. 2/ it does not apply any pressure on the floor, compared to other robots like roborock. 3/ the brush is too soft compared to other washing robots (ilife).

I imagine the Ilife shinebot w450 would do a better job in that test, but i'm not sure.

I can confirm your comments are incorrect. I just ran the A1 in a real-world scenario, where I had stains from roughly 24 hours back, and it cleaned them up in a 1x clean. My one critique is that its pattern for mopping is to start with a very basic, no-overlap pass of the perimeter first, but does not use the y-pattern for this area, which is definitely a weakness. So, if you have stains close to the perimeter, you will need to use a 2x clean, or have it spot clean. But, from my preliminary use, it has gotten the real-world dried on stains using a 1x clean-to my surprise. I was thinking I would have to pre-treat them as Adam suggests, with a spray bottle, but I did not need to.

@@theattorney6072 My kitchen is not worthy of social media, believe me. For the record, my stains were not as large or deliberate as being tested by Adam; they were real-world, occurring over the course of a 24 hour period as the result of normal kitchen use. I would be willing to bet that if I had stains close to the perimeter, as I noted prior, they would require a second pass. This poor perimeter pattern also applies to narrow and small areas. I have a small inlet of space between the refrigerator and microwave cart, which the A1 treats with the same single pass, minimal overlap pattern, though the space extends past the perimeter into the main area a bit. This is definitely a weakness that needs a software fix. All-in-all, as someone who has owned two Scoobas and a mint+, the A1 is an advancement; and in certain categories, I think first in class-such as the ability to clean up large spills. No other Robot vacuum can do that, that I'm aware of. Though, I'm inclined to think that the Roborock mopping pads are probably the best for basic, daily floor cleaning, because of their ability to clean the perimeters as thoroughly. Especially the new S8, with the dual sonic vibration.

You're WAYYYY to generous in your reviews of these mopping robots! I could use a "real" damp mop and get up all those dried stains in a tenth of the time and they would be 100% clean. I'm convinced these devices are "tech for techs sake, mostly overpriced devices that can't compete with those "out-dated old school methods"! I was close at one time with the Roborock but ended up with a $1400 German manual vacuum! (shock) that does what it should with very little effort and ZERO programming! in far less time! It even has an inflated cushion bumper all the way around the machine so it's impossible to mar your furniture or walls and the (gasp) power cord is longer than my house (retracts with the push of a button) and never needs to go back to it's station for a re-charge! Sorry, i think these machines have jumped the shark, (not that junk brand) local store are selling these at deep discounts here in Los Angeles.

Your are right. Also, manufacturiers know how to make better mopping robots, for exemple the old scooba from iRobot, but this one was discontinued despite the demand and great moping performance.

in terms of cleaning power do you consider this robot better than the shinebot w450? I'm sure when it comes to automation and everything related to software this is probably much better.

@@theattorney6072 First of all, my english is not than good so I try to explain if you don't really understand. I'm sorry if you are looking for mob robot that can work cover area over 30 sqm once, this one is not work because it can mob only 15 sqm then it will stop for refill the water. Second, Lidar system is not clever as another mi vacume robot. why, usually the robot will survey an area and run in square around 2-3 sqm then it will run like S shape to vacume or mob the area. This robot is not like than it run randomly or sometime run in Triangle shape and start to clean in triangle. Although you have schedule function in the app, it useless due to the limitation of water. If the water runout robot will stop. It 's not like vacume robot, I can schedule at 2 am and it vacume 50 sqm. Job done. So if I want MISMART mobbing after than it can cover area only 15 sqm then stop. Third compare to the price, I think if anyone want to buy mobbing robot you better buy ILIFE W455 (tripple time cheaper) although it don't have schedule function but it term of mobbing it work great (not in term of heavy stain). it runs like S shape in the area and clean nicely the same as MiSmart Robot. Moreover, the water tank can cover area 50 sqm or more in one round. Although Mismart claim it has battery so big but it useless if you have to look over and refill water for every 15 minute. The firmware of the robot need update, if it can clean up to 30 sqm or more I would consider it's worth to buy.

@@wibulsinthatheeyakorn6355 Thank you. I have watched Many videos and asked users, and it is the first Time I hear it Can only mop 15 sqm. Don't you exagerate a bit ? What i understand is that it Can mop at least 30/35 sqm without refilling water. For other points, navigation ... I agree with you it doesn't look very smart.
