Smash Mouth, when this came out I was homeless, on drugs, and in jail. Now I have a good job, a husband, and I’m healthy. This song and “Clover Cage - Miraculous” are the two songs that helped with my depression. I just want everyone to know that things will get better. We are in this together. I love you ❤

All Star" is a song by American rock band Smash Mouth from their second studio album, Astro Lounge (1999). Written by Greg Camp and produced by Eric Valentine, the song was released on May 4, 1999, as the first single from Astro Lounge. The song was one of the last tracks to be written for Astro Lounge, after the band's record label Interscope requested for more songs that could be released as singles. Not all of us. This song is a large reason why I can't stand Shrek. I love the song, it's a classic... but I can't stand that it is known as "the Shrek song" rather than as All Star by Smash Mouth. Sure, it's my pet peeve, and a small one in the grand scheme of things. But it is what it is.
