Ahem... I have a little scientific article I'd like to post... Yup... Gardevoir is based on a sylph (basically an air fairy), which means their specie is more related to humans, than animals, plants or inanimate objects. They have a high intelligence level, which makes sense, taking into account their primary type is psychic. Also their body size is close to the humans' with the height of neat 160 centimeters and 48 kilogrammes weight, they're able to see the future and read thr others' feelings, which is their main ability and the most important: they have an incredibly strong bond with their master. Considering all these factors we can get, that Gardevoirs are sentient enough for a consent and their elegant body would endure it. Additionally, those fabulous cosmic beings are considered to be one of the most attractive pokemon among all generations by the following reasons: they have an elegant delicate shape, which makes them look mysterious and defenseless, their regally-curled hair are exotic, still soft mint color, they have long thin legs, which are fully covered by a silver dress, that symbolizes their purity and innocence and last, but not least: they have a glare, that makes them look extremely feminine, but still heroic. Their personality is also playing a big role in their status among the pokemon fans, as they are famous for their loyalty to friends. If you're in a bad mood the Gardevoir would sense that and comfort you, if you're being under threat it will protect you at the cost of it's own life and make a tiny cute black hole. They're shy with strangers and such a behavior may also appeal to some people like me. According to their evolutionary line, they represent the most female pokemon ever, since they're starting as a genderless kid, then they expose their eyes and legs, and starting to be more active and in the final evolution, depending on their gender they either become loyal guards or honours knights (which is great, but much less cooler, because male). Also their name literally translates from french like "guardian woman", which makes them yet more elegant. In this article I was only using clear facts from psychology and pokemon biology, trying not to overuse my personal opinion. And that's not just a theory, those are fully proved possibility and reasons to love Gardevoir.

Smashes by generation: Gen 1: 13 (~8.6%) Gen 2: 2 (2%), its 2s all the way down Gen 3: 6 (~4.4%) Gen 4: 3 (~2.8%) Gen 5: 13 (~8.3%) Gen 6: 10 (~14.1%), although I feel like Florges should count for more points... Gen 7: 16 (~18.2%), with enthusiasm for Salazzle and Tsareena Gen 8: 10 (~11.2%) The order of smashes by density are generation 7, then 6, then 8, then 1 closely followed by 5, then 3, with 4 and 2 bringing up the rear. This data clearly shows that pokemon have been getting hotter with time (The theory that Mark's standards began to dip after gen 4 can be contested by his enthusiasm for Florges, Salazzle, and Tsareena.) The generation 1 outlier can be explained away by familiarity with the pokemon of that generation.
