They patched Diasy knockback scaling?I don't even play the character and I know that's messed.

Their idle-animations are a bit different making it a bit harder for some moves to hit daisy...

I honestly would've been happier if the computers weren't patched. Kazuya is not that difficult guys. I even destroyed him with my Little Mac. And I'm trash as Little Mac.

DLC fighters are super broken some of the damage they can do whit one opening is insane

He should not make a new one. Have someone new and more motivated to work on the game make it. I’m tired of reading Sakurai’s complaints on being forced to make the game.

You can really tell which franchises Sakurai likes and doesn't like. Zelda hasnt had a new character since Melee, with half its roster being clones. Donkey Kong gets a new character every two games. None of the Metroid characters feel particularly faithful either, Samus has a super uninspired moveset and Dark Samus is a clone for no reason; the assist trophy in 4 had a better moveset! DK and Metroid only got new characters in Ultimate because fan demand was suuuper high. Kirby largely has only content from the games Sakurai made. Contrast this to Fire Emblem. 2 of smash 4's 7 DLC fighters were FE, on top of 2 FE newcomers in the base game. One of them was from a game that wasn't even out yet, Corrin was a completely new name to the west! Chrom wasn't added because he'd be too similar to Marth, but then he adds Lucina anyway which is why we're in this echo mess to begin with; and then he adds Chrom in the next game anyway. And then we get *another* DLC character.

it made even more special if you knew top players got beaten by a character you have unlocked.

Well, ultimate is broken. The videos have outdated things but now there's just new Broken stuff. Consider how no dlc characters at all appeared in these videos

@@kestrel7493 Define broken. There are some pretty excellent moves still in the game but none of them feel broken to me. Luigi combos are hard, Peach combos are hard, Icies combos are hard, all the infinites that don't require TAS have been removed, insane kill moves like Rob and Roy side B are fine since anyone can edgeguard Roy, and anyone can make a combo video with Rob as the victim. Ultimate is not broken.

No, that's how it was at first. They've since patched it so that theyr are now exactly the same

I honestly don't understand what the developers thought here. The armor I can understand, but all the invincibilities on top of it is overkill. Plus he has a move that pushes your out of shield. What? Which doesn't matter because he can also just break it. Kazuya feels like a child who hates losing developed this character "And then he can shoot lazers from his eyes! And he can fly! And he can shoot rockets!"

Actually, they made it even worse in a way, as trying to mash out at 120+ required what I call “damage risk” levels of mashing.

In addition to ink increasing damage, it's why Inkling was so much of a menace on launch. You get buried with the roller and that's a free kill

Yeah K Rool has received an incredible amount of buffs (3rd most buffed after Rosa and Mewtwo) and he's still like mid tier at best.

When Kazuya first came out, I could not beat him with any of my mains. I mirror matched him and beat him first try. Granted I was a little bit spammy with his laser for one of the kills, but still I don't know how I beat him with a character I had never used before.

@@nyquillusdillwad9119 Perhaps you're talented with Kazuya, or maybe the CPU just didn't adapt well. CPUs have trouble with some things humans would deal with fine, so they'll occasionally fall prey to opponents far below their level.

And inkling is still unfortunately garbage

as a non-ken player but not shit at the game player, they're not as hard as most 0-deaths, they just need a bit of time practicing

It’s a result of how streamlined the design has become since Smash 4. It works, but does take a lot of personality out of individual characters. Rivals of Aether is an interesting alternative; all the characters in that game are super unique, but are also very balanced across the roster. Characters are also generally at a higher power level than in Smash Ultimate. Maybe give that game a shot?

Were Level 9 CPU's in general nerfed because if so that kind of makes me mad they should have done it smarter.

I didn't struggle at all, all I lost in a row to a computer was only like 2 or 3 times. I helped a friend get all her characters in Smash Ultimate quickly and she introduced me to a small smash ultimate local where I done surprisingly well, I even gotten first a few times.
