It's amazing how, changing something like the tempo of a song, can give a song a completely different feel or meaning. For example: this version of this song compared to the slower, darker version used for The Watchmen trailer; or Nine Inch Nails version of Hurt, compared to Johnny Cash's cover; or Johnny Cash's version of Ring Of Fire, compared to Wall Of Voodoo's slower, darker live cover version, from their Ugly Americans In Australia live album.

When Batman and Robin came to theatres, she went to watch it with friends and loved it so. In the past months, she had introduced this movie to the eldest of her two young daughters (ages 6 and 3), And she loved it. Someone should splice this song over clips of 'The Batman'. Would fit a lot better.

The song is soooooo underrated and shouldve been top of the charts! I love this song and the music video!

it was definitely in rotation on MTV when it came out, but I don't think I've heard it since at least 1998!

lol I didn't even know Flaming lips was on this soundtrack. I met Wayne not to long ago. Pretty cool dude.

I was around the same age. At that time we thought the movie was awesome. Now, I admit it's a bit corny. But I'm from the hood and I think Bone Thugs N Harmony had a video out too for this movie I think. So, that shit to us was crazy. This soundtrack wasn't bad. And I want to throw it out there, that I feel this band deserves more recognition.

The Flaming Lips were NOT on the "Batman & Robin" soundtrack. They were on the "Batman Forever" soundtrack.

Those are the coolest guitars I've ever seen in a music video for a superhero action movie.

I remember seeing this on MTV back in high school. The music video was released before the movie as a teaser. That shot where Mr. Freeze is looking at the dancing ballerina in the snow globe really made me think this was going to somewhat of a deep movie. Of course well all know now what was the abortion to follow.

The underlying story of mr. Freeze is a deep tragic story in the movie. Until it needed to be more full of Camp than the met's art gala this week!
@ladyfire444 жыл бұрын
Which is sad. I'm sure if Burton had directed this movie, he would've brought the tragic story of Mr. Freeze to life.

It was campy as fuck, but I’d have to say they definitely had some studio interference considering the marketing needed to sell the toys and shit. When a movie becomes a selling point for that kinda crap, you forget what makes a movie decent. It could have been a great movie without the dumbass one-liners, too.

I loved the soundtrack songs to the movie since my childhood I used to think it was good, until when I was teenager I found out the reason why the movie sucked so much, but nevertheless this song was my favorite from the soundtrack. It's 2020 still listening to the best Batman and Robin soundtracks brings me back memories listening to the songs during the credits.
