If you were a teenager at the time of the release of this song, I think there's not a whole lot more that can wrap up the 90's for us than these kinds of songs. There wasnt music before it,nor after the 90s that had such an affect on who you became. Maybe I'm just stuck in that time frame in my head, but I dont think so. The 90's... imho, best decade ever.

I am not the biggest Smashing Pumpkins fan. I like some of their stuff. But this song is awesome. It rocks bigtime at full volume. The lyrics are good. The drums are hypnotic. It was a great song in 1997. It still is today.

This is one of the late-golden period Pumpkins very best. It fits Corgan's general motif, dark, slightly sinister, etc. It's a musically superior representative of a late 90s alt/electronica hybrid. This should be soundtrack for an Edgar Allan Poe reading, not Arnold Schwarzenegger saying "Hey Batman! ICE to meet you!"

Basically, when you are listening to the song, watching the video and catching frames of the movie in the background - you can actually think that Batman and Robin was a proper dark movie ;)

Who came back after Joel's Death? Even though B&R was bad, he wasn't a bad director. He made a lot of Cult Classics like Falling Down, St. Elmo's Fire, and The Lost Boys. He even apologized about the disappointment of these movies. All I hope for is that he can be at peace.

It's amazing how, changing something like the tempo of a song, can give a song a completely different feel or meaning. For example: this version of this song compared to the slower, darker version used for The Watchmen trailer; or Nine Inch Nails version of Hurt, compared to Johnny Cash's cover; or Johnny Cash's version of Ring Of Fire, compared to Wall Of Voodoo's slower, darker live cover version, from their Ugly Americans In Australia live album.

I had watched this movie for the time (on t.v.) around late 1990's. Batman Forever was the first Batman movie i had introduced to my kid sister back in 1995. We were both hooked on U2 HM, TM, KM, KM. When Batman and Robin came to theatres, she went to watch it with friends and loved it so. In the past months, she had introduced this movie to the eldest of her two young daughters (ages 6 and 3), And she loved it. So Heartwarming to see the legacy of Batman move on from one generation to the next, even in the form of older movies.

Hearing this as a kid and finding it and hearing it years later it's quite the experience 😎☺️☺️

i always thought that the pumpkins missed an album between Mellon Collie and Adore: that album would be filled with songs like this one, eye, saturnine (the rotten apples version) blissed and gone, and a lot of great songs that rocked the $&%V out of the electronica scene.

This is interesting to me because it’s almost like Smashing Pumpkins by numbers. They always tried to be different, new, original, memorable. Here it sounds like they weren’t under those pressures and it just rocks. Love it.

I remember seeing this on MTV back in high school. The music video was released before the movie as a teaser. That shot where Mr. Freeze is looking at the dancing ballerina in the snow globe really made me think this was going to somewhat of a deep movie. The batman movies would always suck me in with a soundtrack banger! This and the U2, Prince, and Seal tracks were all timeless tracks from Batman soundtracks.
