I believe Blooperville was a way for SMG4 to put the recolors on a bus. This is a TV Trope that means they were removed from the main area of the series and will most likely not return. All the recolors were removed from the Mushroom Kingdom and put in another place, I don’t think we’ll be seeing them again unfortunately. :(

But yeah my main beef with the redesigns is that I feel like SMG3 could’ve looked a bit more unique, their models are very claylike and high-poly compared to the model ports of Mario, Luigi, etc. It will definitely have a different feel in SMG4. The designs still look bad for SMG3 and Boopkins. 🤷🏾‍♀️ I’ll say this: whether or not SMG4 needed these redesigns doesn’t change the fact people can still be mad at them for what they represent, deeper than a simple channel change or direction change, especially those who have watched for 5-10 years. The SMG4 channel is indicative of parody, so the designs of the characters would not matter unless he decided to make merchandise out of them. The only reason their designs changed was so he can make merch. It’s fairly obvious. Hell, he made an AniMatez figure of his character as soon as the Lawsuit Arc was over. That told me everything I needed to know
