This song makes me get real emotional with all my memories associated with it. My brothers and sister would consume this show growing up. Sadly we lost my youngest brother. Now everytime I hear this song or watch the show, all I can think about are the times we would stay up all night rewatching episodes we recorded on VHS from toonami and cracking jokes. If only I could revisit one of those nights once more. I'd give anything.

This song (and the anime too) make it a lot easier to accept that time will pass, that the present will never repeat, because yeah your current self will never come back but you’re always going to gain more knowledge, strength and grow more the more time goes by, and you’ll never lose those memories of your current self.

7/11/23 and this show still hits. It was bittersweet, and had amazing character development. Loved that they didnt stretch out the show with fillers.

Man…MAN. This hit me right in the nostalgia. I watched this show as a kid! I’m in my 30s now and this is still my favorite anime of all time. The characters are just so good. Yusuke taught me how to swear! 😅

Just watched this show recently and I’ve got to say it’s definitely my favorite anime. The way each character is treated like their own person and not just to show how strong Yusuke becomes really makes the struggle they go through worth it . Definitely one of the best of all time .

This song has helped me a lot these past couple months. My friend recently passed away, and we found out we were trans at about the same time. I’ll never forget the time I spent with her. Her memory is what gives me the strength to continue my transition despite my grief. She would’ve wanted me to live a happy life as the woman I want to be. of every (official) english version of early anime openings, this is by far the best i've ever heard. it doesn't hurt that the instrumental is just universally good, but the english translation and phonetics don't feel too forced and crammed into the japanese structure of the song. 10/10 jam to this day

I'll admit, despite watching the dub, the network showed the Japanese version of the song, so I didn't grew up with this version, but still I find this to be the superior version.

As someone who loved watching Yu Yu Hakusho in middle school during the early 2000s, I didn't know this catchy theme song had a full version until after high school when I was able to collect the entire series. Hearing the full version is like getting the full picture where once I'd glimpsed a fragment.

Greatest Anime. Forever Fornever.

The metamorphosis I’ve gone through as a human about brings me to tears. I really owe so much of who I am and the principles I hold to this show. I grew up in an extremely hostile household and this show showed me that the greatest growth comes from the hardest challenges. I’ve gone from a broken kid looking for a reason in the next day to being motivated in being the kindest human I can be. I have grown into the anime hero I wanted to be as a kid and I’ll always have this song in the back of my mind reminding me how important it is to be kind to entire strangers.
