I have nooooooooooooooooooo idea why there's a licensing issue when they obviously cleared to it air on TV as I saw the TV one like several times playing the Hall and oats song so yeah why it's edited down I have no idea.

i like to think that they were too excited to announce the new season of their new golden boy that they used a copyrighted song for this special occasion but they quickly realise that they couldnt pay for the license for every time it appeared live for the next months so they quickly replaced it with the other one, it just makes it more funnier when i think it like that

Honestly, this song works better with the trailers wacky nature. The stock music just doesn't have the same charm, or energy behind it

I think the music change is due to the fact that Hall & Oates recently disbanded for good and the two of them are having a dispute over who has teh rights to what music. Because of that, the use of their music by media in general is undergoing some changes. But that's just my speculation.

I saw this trailer with literally no idea about anything to do with this show. Binged season 1 (not exactly hard admittedly) and have thoroughly enjoyed it. Great music choice and trailer.
