I also have a 1913. I was bidding on the 32 auto variant at an auction a few years ago. Went for more than I was willing to pay.

Happy to see a little more info out on this pistol! I own two, personally think it's a pretty cool design. S&W came late to Browning's pistol party oddly like Winchester was fashionably late to the semi auto shotgun festival lol.

Something tells me that even if they had a 5 year head start on the competition, people would have probably still been a little iffy on this thing! But they are really awesome handguns for what they are, and still in that sweet spot where you can get one without totally bankrupting yourself! Wont be that way in 10 years!!!

@2:28 ff, the pistol is described as a 'rather large handgun' and is compared to current day handguns, which, to be fair are the same size or smaller and utilize a stronger cartridge. What about a comparison to the pistols of the day? The 1913 S&W is visibly smaller than a 1903 Colt or 1907 Savage. Much smaller than a FN 1910/22, All firing the same cartridge (or near enough). This is analogous to showing how 'puny' a model T Ford was, compared to a Bugatti.

Does it come with a large wool sock I can drop it into so I can swing it like an old timey flail? Seriously though, stupid guns with weird features are just awesome and I genuinely love them. My Boberg actually works sometimes. 🤣

SO! I'll make a comment on this gun --> I think the honest-to-God worst part about this handgun is the magazine... Fun fact, the feed lips BEND every time you load it... If you look at the feed lips in this video, as well as the one from ForgottenWeapons --> the feed lips are all jacked... Yeah... not a great design choice to have soft metal.
