There was a riot at the prison my father was a correctional officer at and he was cool. He would always be by the book and you knew what to expect from him every day. When everything kicked off he was one of the officers who had inmates in a circle around him walking him to the gate. The shotgun squad then took the prison back a few hours later without firing a shot. The inmates who had protected officers were rounded up ASAP. Several were at their bunks greasing up with Vaseline getting ready for the retaliation from other inmates. They were all transferred to different prisons closer to their families and were given time off so they were able to go to lower level prisons.

Your father was a good man. Take that home. Not everyone gets that treatment. Speaking from a career over 20 years at some of the hardest prisons in NYS your father should wear a badge of honor. He was a respectful by the book Officer. I was too. It is something to be proud of not ashamed. good on your father it takes a strong chaaracter to survive that.kudos

My buddy on tact squad said when he did a shakedown at Smith state prison some weeks back he found bricks upon bricks of meth, Coke, weed. He said he never seen so many drugs in his life, the commander of the attack squad said they had to get hotels and extend their time cuz there was too much drugs there. Correction: It was Macon State Prison. Still wild tho. I’m guessing Smith has a Shanks problem while Macon State Prison has a Drug problem

In NY we got the shock program. It’s a boot camp style prison for first time non violent felons, who got 3 yrs or less on their sentence. You have to be approved to go into shock. If you get accepted it’s straight up boot camp. You do the shock program for 6 months and you can be home. However, you come home with “shock parole” which is hardcore… had many friends try the program. Some succeeded, some didn’t. I could never program like that. I have violent felonies, but DAMN taking a 3 yr drug case or burglary and you complete the program and get out in 6 months sounds great for those who can handle that type of structure.

As for the juveniles, the day before my 14th birthday I got an attempt murder case and got sent up top for a max of 7 yrs (21 yrs old) but I only did 3 yrs. I was locked down at the JDC, Spofford (you should do a video on Spofford bro! Off the hook! Mike Tyson done time there as a kid) then I went to Tryon, then they put me in the max security spot for a stabbing I got caught in called Harlem valley. This all started in 2002, so almost all of these facilities are gone now because of MANY messed up reasons. As usual, excellent video! You and blood on the razor wire with Chad Marks are (IMHO) the only real deal dudes on here, telling the truth and trying to prevent the youth from going down the routes we all went down. For that I got nothing but RESPECT. Peace ✌🏻

NY has a military style incarceration faicility called the moriah shock ICF. Judges give some offenders this option rather than a longer bid. Unfortunately it closed down early last year, it was a great facility giving inmates structure & an option to change but that’s no longer.

Have you studied a map? GA is on the east coast and is a southeastern/South Atlantic state bordered by the Atlantic Ocean. South” is a vague term if not used in proper geographical context. South of NY or other east coast states sure, but it’s on the extreme far southeast as with Florida. Their is no southern time zone, GA is on eastern timezone.

I think about my time overseas and all the shit we did for one another, things that would be considered 23/1 felonies if we did them here. My best friend who saved my life over there got really into alcohol (even for a marine) when he came home and fucked up his whole life at the vb oceanfront. K/O’d some shit talking tourist who ended up dying when he hit the pavement. Now he’s doing life. I go see him 2x a month and I’m putting money on his books whenever I have a little extra. When I talk to him he acts like it’s no big thing but seeing your content really drove home how bad he’s got it. I don’t think it’s set in for him yet. Now I don't mean 250lb linebackers, I mean 250lb jellyrolls that are out of breath going from sitting down at the guard post to standing up. You would think they would only hire people that were in shape and could fend off an oncoming attack or riot. There wasn't as many in this episode but I've seen many where there were lol.

I worked for a brief time as a maintenance worker for my state's DOC. (The pay was awful, why I left.) It was a release center so most of the inmates were getting ready for release. I had a permanent maintenance worker who'd been in for 20 years and had the look of someone that had seen too much. He was always early, kept busy, and never caused problems. I'd bring coffee in and let them have a coffee maker until a temporary worker that was a meth head started making 9 pots a day. I'd always find a reason to take my old timer on parts runs just so he could get out and I'd get him fast food as I could tell he really enjoyed it. I guess it was a compliment when one of my workers told me "you're the most decent hack here". Being maintenance, I wasn't a CO so I guess that fell into a sort of gray area with the inmates as we just dealt with facility issues. We never had a shortage of workers as word got out we were pretty chill in maintenance.

Question for anyone who has gotten sentenced to 5 years flat and longer. If you were given the choice between doing your full sentence, no chance for parole or cutting your sentence down by half by joining the military, what would you choose ? Same rules of fkn up in the military will get you sent back to court and most likely taken out of the military and made to start your full sentence. Even if you only have a few months left in the military to complete your sentence. (Hope that makes sense) What would you rather do ?
@jordananderson1411
@jordananderson1411 11 ай бұрын
If I only had a few months left of military I would for sure rather finish that out than start a new 5 in prison. But me going to prison and finishing my sentence was a way better choice than staying on probation for 10 yrs. I did 4.7 on a 5. I also had no job no gf no anything and that's part of why it was a better choice for me.

Jackson aint much different . I was lucky I did my time in Bostick. Another thing to remember is that you have convicts and you have inmates. Those that have been there will tell ya the difference. In Jackson those guys are called CERTS. Why make a shank when you can take the ID card that you wear get yourself a piece sandpaper sharpen two of the edges on it and make a hell of a cutting tool. The beauty of that the guards never look at that. I mentioned the difference between convict and inmate is the convict just wants to do his time not bring any attention to himself or others and get the hell on but an inmate on the other hand is a different story, we use to call them crash test dummies.

Smith most definitely house violent with no violent offenders. You can have 1 year and your celly or bunky could be 15 in on 25 years. That shit don't matter there. Doesn't matter in any prison that I went to in GA. Not too far from Smith(and exactly the same looking except Smith has a blue theme while Rogers is burgundy), is Rogers SP. There you have ppl with long sentences(with time in) going out the back gate everyday to pick in the fields, work in the dairy or in the slaughterhouse. Violence at Smith is kind of heightened when compared to the surrounding prison( a bunch all right around each other), but it's not really that bad. Most days nobody fights. Then on some days there might be 10 fights. One thing about Smith was their CERT team would fuck you up. Sometimes just on GP. Most common disciplinary report is not fighting though. It's the old B-11. The "Jack" charge. Motherfucking Georgia boys be jacking on those female officers like it is a normal way to function sexually. Motherfuckers will stand shoulder to shoulder jacking on 1 forty year old fat woman dressed in a completely sex-less uniform. 5 B-11's will get you a street charge and that will get you more time plus a lifetime spot on the sex offender registry under Megan's Law. They still do it. All said and done, if you aren't a chump, Smith is a good place to your time. If you are a chump (you motherfuckers know who you are----and so so we) than no place is a good place to do time. Keep coming back though. If you got a hot sister that wants to write somebody you'll be protected. To a degree.

in many cases, experienced CO's usually have some juice with inmates of their own race, or affiliate connections who can easily get someone's ass kicked or worse, even snitch-n-tell CO's are targeted by the dirty CO's as troublemakers/threat to business and the trick was to make the suspected snitch CO to transfer to another facility , or sometime the unliked CO was deliberately put on inmates who did not follow the proper procedure for getting their orders filled, that contraband was placed in evidence, then redistributed among some inmates for either profit, juice or race sharing, one facility i did time in, anyone who snitched was given the worst treatment by the staff, then commonly refused to let the snitch roll up for hours after running his mouth, of which sent a message to snitches by the snitch getting jumped on purpose, the lt that ran the place, let all inmates know, especially woods, any telling on another inmate could be a serious mistake, i would have to say, with the amount of time CO's spend in prison, the taking on of the criminal mindset and temptation to make money is real af, and they will protect their operation just as any inmate or street thug would
