The S&W Response is a 9mm PCC that is just over 6lbs and has a feature that no other PCC has, a Flex magwell system that works with other manufactures giving you the capability to use the same magazine as your favorite side arm.

Always good reviews here. Nice to see how well the new carbine seems to be performing for a lot of different guntubers. The 23-rounders for the M&P line are good to go, but I wish S&W would release a 30ish round happy stick to go with this and the FPC. I'm already EDCing an M&P, and having the higher cap mags for all three platforms would be nice, and give me a reason to buy one of the long guns.

I've had mine for a couple of weeks now. Put about 50 rounds through it. It is a great shooter and accurate. I don't think it feels cheap or flimsy, and I do like the fact that it is light and fast. I'm not a big fan of the charging handle, though. Overall, I am really pleased with it.

Interesting PCC. Thanks Looks good. I suspect the "engineering grade" polymer receiver will last as long as any aluminum receiver, maybe longer if you keep it away from the campfire. I have a much heavier RUGER PC chassis carbine that has been totally upgraded (i.e. If TANDEMKROSS, MCARBO, TACCOM or MAGPUL makes it for the PC its probably on mine.;o)

@patricklukens70202 ай бұрын
The “proprietary” nature of the charging handle is to keep users from using the Response handle in a different MSR as it doesn’t need to be mil-spec for this item and was cheaper to make the way they did. Note, no hole for a gas tube. However mil-spec charging handles will work on the Response.

This may come over as a dumb question, but it is a relevant one in the country where I live: When you field-strip the carbine, does upper receiver have the so-called full auto sear cut so typical of U.S.-made of AR-style of rifles? I suppose that the upper probably wouldn't work (or even fit) a full auto or burst fire M4 or M16 lower receiver anyway. Still, it would be interesting to know. Thanks a lot.

Quick question, when able, like when using an AR platform or alike with a pirating rail, at the range, why isn't a brass catcher being used? It really aids in keeping the land free of discarded trash and to keep it appealing to the eye. Side not, you're also able to safe your brass by doing this.
@9MilRidge7 ай бұрын
Answer, I pick it all up after I'm done by hand and also clean up other people's trash as well. I absolutely hate when people leave their trash all over.
@questioningthoughts21527 ай бұрын
@@9MilRidgeMy comment wasn't meant to be derogative. If you use a brass catcher in your videos, others will see such an item exists, an you'll possibly influence your viewers to I vest in a simple brass catcher, leaving ranges and private lands around the world less littered. I'm not trying create trouble, but simply seen an opportunity to point out how things could be better from an influencer point of view. Side note, brass catchers aren't so user friendly on a side arm, infact, they suck, so, clean up after an outing is still time consuming. Lastly, thanks for the content you create, I enjoy most all of it.
@9MilRidge7 ай бұрын
I didn't think you meant to be derogative. I appreciated your comment. Nothing worse than someone trashing out an area that other people frequent. I don't shoot enough rifles to make it worth my while for a brass catcher but thank you for your input and for watching and commenting.

Right after buy the FPC, they release that! If I wasn't so sentimentally attached to my Ruger PC9, I'd trade it in for a Response.

Same here, the FPC shoots accurately , I just like the new charging handle and mag adaptor system on the Response as a trade off to the folding set up of the FPC !

I love my Ruger PC9. I almost bought the FPC, but finally learned my lesson to let the excitement subside, and see how the product lasts. Good thing because the Response is a step up.

1000 rounds and it hasn't blown up, yet? What are your thoughts about the "consumer safety alert for the Response?" Out of battery detonations are not cool, especially with a polymer rifle. I'm waiting for the shipping label so I can send mine in for repair.
@9MilRidge4 ай бұрын
Honestly it's not that big a deal to me, I have about 3,000 rounds through it now no issues but I'll still send it in for the bolt replacement. I've seen that happen in a lot of pistols, even Glock pistols. It's a machine, machines can fail. But I really like it so I probably will keep it after I get it back from repair.

hey quick question is the feel of it that bad? like they say its made of polymer but i plan on using the glock mags i got for my psa dagger and run it through this. My psa dagger is also made of polymer frame which i like how it feels but you arent the first person ive seen talk about the feel of the response im new to guns so the versatility really stands out to me but i dont want to waste my money yanno? 700$ plus money for scope is alot considering what i can get at this price range.
@jong23597 ай бұрын
@@user-po7br1bl3y It really is that bad. I don't have reason to believe the GUN is bad, but it definitely feels flimsy. The Ruger PC Carbine feels like a tank compared to this. The piece-of-crap Kel tec p2000 even feels more built. Just go to a gun store and ask to hold one, the gun will talk for itself.
