@@josemary2106 I shot my coworkers m&p shield this last Monday. It's definitely a better shooter than the glock. The grip angle, the trigger, the sights, and the grip texture are all better than the glock 43x/48. But I realized I will most likely never need a CCW gun for shooting at 35 yard steel targets (which we were that day). I will be needing my CCW for 3-7 yards which the glock does great at. I will take the 15+1 capacity of the glock over the better shootablility of the m&p.

Another great video. The Shield has been my edc for quite a while now and I tend to prefer the ergo's of the m&p series over the Glocks. However, the 43x does interest me for it's slightly larger capacity. The original 43 just felt like a afterthought from Glock to me. Think this firearm, along with the 48 fit a nice "between" size for capacity and comfort.

I have the 1st gen Shield. It's a great gun in it's own right, and you did the 2.0 justice in this vid. The thing that made me look at the 43x was the wider and slightly more boxy grip, as well as capacity. I finally made the call to buy a 43x and took the chance to upgrade to the night sights. You're right, the stock ones are junk. Holding this gun, it has the feel I've always wanted. My pinky stays on, it fills the palm but not too much, and Shield Arms is releasing a flush fit 15 round magazine in the next month or two. A gun that feels better in my hand and DOUBLES the capacity of my Shield? Yeah, I'll keep the ol' S&W as a bug or deep conceal, but the 43x is my new EDC. Still a good vid, even and balanced comparison. Thanks!

The Shield is significantly cheaper, comes with good metal sights, has flexible capacity for deep concealment up to 10+1 with aftermarket extensions, better grip texture, better ergonomics, great aftermarket support, and great reliability. To me this isn't even really a competition. Shield all the way.

Great video. I have been looking at the shield for a while, but the issue I run into is frame length. I have big hands, and the Shield 9mm is just a hair too short. The .45 fits a lot better. It has that longer frame, which fits my hand better. But now it's more expensive to train. If it were 9mm vs 9mm - I'd buy the 43x.

Comes down to personal preference really. Some hate safety’s, some love em. I’m in the love safety’s camp. All of my carry guns have them, and I’ve trained my muscle memory to click it off when I draw every time. Plus, I appendix carry sometimes, so I like the added peace of mind that I’m not about to blow my junk off.

Hi, I own the S&W shield, and like some others I do wish we had the possibility to add more rounds without compromising our ability to conceal the firearm. The grip on my pisto has cost me a couple of shirts over time but is is great with staying on target. All in, and given the price, I would stick with my Shield. I found mine for less than $300, brand new, at a gun show. Let’s hope someone comes up with a magazine that adds capacity.

Mind you this will be for me and my fiancée, and she has no experience with guns whatsoever. I want a gun the is economical, but also consistent and reliable. As expected, outstanding perspective & great content thanks. I agree with conclusion. However, I have no experience with any G43 at all. Our household has 4 Shields as CC & PP. 3 are 45acp & 1 9mm 1.0. My expectation is that S&W will bring 9mm & 40 over into the 45 platform and get the increased capacity to compete/contend with the 43x. They will likely produce a longer barrel version (3.8 or 4.0) also to compete for the G48 market. Just looks very doable & it makes sense. Keep it up.

Both look like quality ccw's, but both could use something from the other. If you put the grip texture of the 2.0 on the 43X you have a great ccw. Put a longer grip/mag capacity on the 2.0 and it's a homerun. I agree they both could use a better trigger which you've already addressed. I love the flat-faced triggers, and especially the one you have in the Glock. Great review as usual brother, Cheers!

Very well said Fu! I think taking the best of both would make an outstanding gun. Thank you and cheers brother!

What's your thoughts on the ss80 would you consider doing a video on it?
@KSGunGuy015 жыл бұрын
I’ve thought about doing one but have heard too many disaster stories about the SS80 kits. Maybe sometime down the road. Thank you and cheers!

A well-tempered and seemingly unbiased approach and presentation is definitely welcome in the gun community. Subbed, keep it up man. I can't stand all these political youtube tough guys that think they're right because they're loud and obnoxious. Anyway, just bought a 43x and I'm very happy with it. I may have chosen something like P365 if I wasn't already trained with a glock and had to carry one at work every day, but the 43X is certainly a comfortable and quality firearm.

On your comment on grip textures. I think that varies a little from gun to gun. We have 2 Springfield mod.2’s and one has excellent texture while the other is quite slippery. I put a talon grip on the slippery one. Just my observation 😀. As always great video!

I do agree that a Talon grip would help! Thank you and cheers 96!

well done! I came to the same conclusion. With Maguts I get one extra round in the 8 round mag and I've got 9+1.

I had a shield and switched to a G26, now running the 43X. All are exceptional.

Hey KS. Great review and two great choices for sure. My EDC for over two years is a Shield 9 PC. Love my Shield. So off topic, I saw on CDDN Sports an EAA MC28SA (9mm w/reflex optic) for $369. That’s the first I’ve heard of this gun. I haven’t found a review on this model with the optic. $369 is unbelievable with the features it has. Was curious if you’ve heard or know anything about it? Thank you Sir.

Thank you Kev! I am not familiar with the MC28SA but I hear the EAA makes great guns. Might be worth checking out. Cheers brother!
