The highlight of the smithsonian national zoo is the giant pandas and the baby giant panda cub xiao qi ji which means little miracle. Other stars of the zoo include: elephants, lions, tigers and the many residents of the small mammal house.

Hey fun fact. Captive poison dart frogs are not poisonous at all ☺️ Also the tortoise is called an Aldabra pronounced like al-dah-bra

I went there a couple of years ago. Pretty nice zoo! I prefer the Roger Williams Zoo in Rhode island though. Beautiful mid-size zoo with great animals

The only problem is that even though this is a free zoo, if you get there in your car, you have to pay $10 to park it. So if you don't want to pay anything there, take the bus or walk.

Fun fact-The Columbus zoo sloth bear exibit was built for giant pandas

All giant pandas are on loan from China and I don’t know 100% if there is an official reason out, but I think China wants them all back.

Những con người quản thú trong vườn sở thú này đang ngược đãi gia đình gấu trúc Meixiang, các bé luôn trong tình trạng bỏ đói, họ thường xuyên giật điện gấu cha để lấy tinh trùng. Và cả bé con Tiểu Kỳ Tích cũng bị họ rút tủy. Xin mọi người hãy cứu các bé sớm thoát khỏi nơi này.
