so, the chinese used fingerprints to sign legal documents without realizing how individual these marks truly are.....they are one of the oldest civilizations for Godsake. they were trading with money when others were discovering what to eat from the forests. will you westerners give them credit for once?! may be they knew the uniqueness of the fingerprints even before you all discovered about it.
@cathleenwilliamson66683 жыл бұрын
I agree with you. I also thought that was a bold statement to make. Apparently the Chinese did know of the significance of a fingerprint or it wouldn't be on legal documents.

Hi could anyone answer a question for me: Can a fingerprint be examined for how old it is. Can fingerprints be judged for how long ago they were created?
@DunnHere8 жыл бұрын
+suomynona judging on the condition of the print you can determine what atmosphere it was in and how long ago it was imprinted.
@suomynona8 жыл бұрын
+Matthew Dunn Yes but what about a shorter time period, like a crime scene? rather then say being able to tell it was 1000 years old ect.
@DunnHere8 жыл бұрын
+suomynona well in a crime scene if a time frame was created like from the start of the crime to say after a killing then they could determine when a finger print was left but I don't think the finger print itself can give a time frame

"...their actual evolutionary purpose is far more basic… to help us grab objects." WHAT? Scientists insist that evolution is an unguided process and therefore does not evolve features (e.g. fingerprints) with an end purpose in mind (because it is a mindless process)! Therefore, complex features which benefit an organism overwhelmingly support an intelligent-design model and not a mindless, unguided evolution model. A counter example often pointed to is sickle-cell anemia, a very painful and fatal disease caused by a mutation (loss of information) which malforms red blood cells into a sickle-shape. Because of this malformation, it is still claimed by many that the mutation is a beneficial one as the malaria parasite is unable to attach to these malformed blood cells. However, this has been disproved by researchers.
@robbiedart74224 жыл бұрын
>However, this has been disproved by researchers. Nah it hasn't. And 'purpose' doesn't have to imply design, evolution is random mutation with retrospective purpose, fingerprints happened by accident but ended up useful so they stayed, simple. No creator needed.

Natural selection people with better grips died less in battle and had more children
@Bildad19762 жыл бұрын
@@wendigo8204 Natural selection does not explain how these features "evolved" the genes responsible for the design and maintenance of any new (novel) features, it just explains how some species thrive and others fail to survive. Basically, natural selection is responsible for extinction, but not for evolving any new genes which are responsible for the design & regulation of new features.

The fingertips in the Afterlife! The Quran answers the question of the unbelievers: Can Allah gather the bones of the dead and make the dead alive again? The Quran does not only say: YES but also say that Allah will restore the fingertips of the dead. This answer has a very deep scientific meaning because we know the fingertips of each one are special entity that is different from one to another in their fingerprint. Each one of us has its own fingerprint. That is why, the meaning of restoration of fingertips in the Afterlife uses the scientific findings of fingerprint to serve up an important religious purpose which is the topic of the Afterlife. This meaning is not found in the Bible.
