Thanks for the video and most importantly, the post install still shots of the passenger and driver side mounting brackets. Those stills clarified the body mount mounting points which were not very clear on the black and white poor photo instructions that came with my skid plates.

Riva Truck Accessories How were you able to get all of your bolts to line up? I was able to get all but the 2nd bolt in from the large washer bolt. Did you drill out the transmission skid slot a little more for that bolt to properly align? My transmission skid slot is about 1/4” offset.

Hello, thanks for this good tutorial. Does this skid plate Smittybilt 76922 XRC (?) fit a JK Rubicon 4Doors 2,8 CRD (Year 2014, EURO)? I have this question because I read that it fits only till 2011 and in combination with a 2,5" lift?? Till now I didn't find any exact, believable Information about this (2014, Diesel, Rubicon, 4Doors). Trank you very much for your help.

I do not believe it will fit the diesel.

...is there meanwhile another alternative, especially concerning less wight? In Alluminium? What would you recommand for mainly overland travelling and rarely extreme offroad /rock use?

There are many different options with skid plates. Aluminum of course is great for the weight reduction but then becomes far more expensive. It is a trade off but I can get you all manufactures so it depends on your budget and needs for your Jeep. I just got the complete set like you didn't realize how heavy it is and is actually slowed my truck down do you still recommend keeping it on

awesome video! do you happen to know of there is a clearance issue with the rubicon dana 44? i have a 2016 JKU rubi with a 2.5 lift and i installed this skid but my axle actually contacts the drivers side mount arm. will it only work with the dana 30?

I have a 3.5" Metalcloak Gamechanger lift and needed to add an exhaust spacer (new drive shaft is coming one of these days but haven't done that yet). How is the clearance with the exhaust with this skid? I'm wondering if I'm going to run into a vibration issue with the exhaust as it sits a little lower due to the spacer.

No issues at all but this set up is on a 2011 JKU so no pacer needed on the exhaust.

I have the exhaust spacers on my 2014 don’t have any issues
