SMOKED HERRING WITH BOILED EGGS. BOKKING MET GEKOOKTE EIEREN.
Ingredients:
200 gr of smoked herring filet
1 chopped tomato
1 chopped onion
4-5 gloves of chopped garlic
2-3 cut peppers
4 hard boiled eggs
2 potatoes (cubed)
Preparation:
add hot water to the herring to remove excess salt
drain the water and repeat these steps
cut the herring in pieces (about 5 cm)
fry the potato cubes
sauté the onion and garlic
add the pepper
add the tomato
cover and let cook for 5 min
stir and cover again
add the herring
cover and let cook for another 5 min
add the eggs
add the potatoes
stir then cover to cook on low heat
turn the eggs
garnish with celery
