Smoked Lamb Shoulder is on the menu for today's moving picture recipe. As usual, this pulled smoked lamb is simple yet delicious. An overnight marinade and a three hour smoke bath makes this pulled lamb a tasty little treat. Cook at 300° until you reach an internal of 202° and you'll have the perfect bite.
The marinade is influenced by the flavors of my good friends in Ecuador. As you can tell, I am a fan of lime and cilantro. My friends have these ingredients growing in their yards year around. Not to mention the biggest avocados I've ever seen.
Marinade and Sauce
bunch of cilantro
zest and juice of a lime
1 shallot
6 garlic cloves
1 T oregano
2 chipotle peppers
2 T red wine vinegar
1/2 C avocado oil or EVOO
2 T MOJO bbq
salt and pepper to taste

I may have to do that myself. Better yet, maybe I need to practice a few more lamb dishes for the tube.

such an underrated cut to smoke...i smoked a leg of lamb once till it was pull apart tender and marinated it Adana lamb style and it was one of the best things ive smoked

I would have a hard time cooking that beautiful lamb past medium-rare but it does look great!!! Will have the try that chimicurri!

Wow!! That loooks AMAZING. I never had lamb shoulder. I’m telling you I’m getting me some stuff from porter road. Been looking at there bone in ribeyes. Anyway thanks for another great video Jay!! Buddy! Your one heck of a pitmaster lol! Good job! All I've tried is lamb breast on the smoker. Kinda like pork ribs only twice the fat lol. But if you fillet the fat out of the middle it's pretty dad gum good! Good job my friend! Keep on smilin!
