I remember renting This Movie, I remember putting Tape 1 of this Movie in the VCR, and for the next few hours I sat on the couch in spellbound silence, It was amazing, from start to finish, I'm sure when the time comes for Stephen Spielberg to leave this world, I'm sure that He'll be greeted in heaven with open arms and take his place on the right hand of our lord of lords, king of kings Jesus Christ, at a round table with all the other Celebrity's that have went on before him, Like, Kobe Bryant, Ed Bradley, Mike Wallace, David Bowie, Robert Stack, Dennis Farina, Leonard Nimoy, Marcia Wallace, Joan Collins, Zsa Zsa Gabor, Bob Hoskins, Dennis Hopper, Alan Rickman, Richard Attenborough, Bill Paxton, John Herd, Carol Spinney, Fred Rogers, Bob Keeshan, Frank Gershin, Adam West, Andy Griffith, Don Knotts, Gene Wilder, Judge Wapner, Michael Jackson, Muhammed Ali, Luciano P, Robert Goulet, Prince (The Singer), Debby Reynolds, Carrie Fisher, Joseph Mascolo, Ray Charles, Chadwick Bosieman, Orson Bean, Gene Siskel, Roger Ebert, etc. etc.

@@SmokeVHSTapes I remember renting this movie at a local Blockbuster Video in the town of Ironton where I lived, and for the next few hours, I sat down on the couch in the family movie room, and just watched this movie in Spellbound Silence, and it was Unbelievable, Amazing, Wonderful, you could feel the pain and emotion those Jewish people had to go through during the World War 2 era, seeing the pain in the mother's eyes when they saw their own children on the truck, I think that the best part of the movie was when Oskar Schindler was bringing the women and children to his new Factory, all of the men were looking out of the window, hoping to see their loved ones among them, also another best part of the Movie was when the Real Schindler's Jews were putting rocks on top of Oskar Schindler's grave, also Best Acting By Liam Neeson, He's just amazing in this movie, then he was in all the other movies that He's been in, Like, 1. Nell. 2. The Haunting. 3. Darkman. 4. Ponyo. Anime Movie. 5. Batman Begins. 6. Star Wars Episode 1 The Phantom Menace. And also, Ralph Finnes, He's Just Incredible Too in this Movie, So Kudos to You Steven Spielberg, I salute you. Also, I recommend that This Movie would be a Great Teaching Tool for High School and College Students.

This was the first time I saw this movie. My mom taped this on TV back in the day, and when I was 13, I was going through my phase of watching every Spielberg film I could because I was blown away by Minority Report months earlier. I fell in love with this film, and I was incredibly moved by Steve's intro and outro by his genuine warmth and presence. This film has only gotten better with time, and Spielberg has become my favorite celebrity. Thank you, Mr Spielberg, for this and all of your incredible films

I would have to agree with you, because I too fell in love with this movie, I remember going with my Husband named Adam, our four Children, our 3-year-old daughter named Kayleigh, our 6-year-old daughter named Sarah, our 8-year-old son named Jessie, and our 10-year-old son named David, and I were at our local Blockbuster Video, Kayleigh, Sarah, Jessie, and David were at the Kid's Movie Section, Adam was in another Movie Section, I was walking down one of the other movie Aisles, until I picked up another Movie of Stephen Spielberg called, "The Color Purple" (1985), I was reading the back of it, until a Blockbuster Video Employee was walking down the same Aisle, and placed this movie in the vacant spot, I saw it, I put the Color Purple Movie down, and Picked This Up, I decided to Rent This movie, Adam also rented another movie of Spielberg's called "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" (1989, In My opinion This Movie was way better than the other Indiana Jones Movies), The Kids also Rented Their Movies too, Kayleigh Rented "The Great Muppet Caper", (1981), Sarah rented "Rainbow BRITE and the Star Stealer" (1985), Jessie Rented "Little Nemo Adventures in Slumberland" (1989), and David Rented "The Dark Crystal" (1982), We went back to the house, the kids were watching their movies in their bedrooms, and when they were asleep, I insisted to Adam that we should watch this movie, and during the next few hours, we sat on the couch in the family movie room in spellbound silence, some of the scenes was so wonderful, and most of them weren't, Like the one scene where the women were being led into this big room, and they were so scared, fearing that something might happen to them, I could just fell their pain and suffering, and seeing them walking one way, looking back seeing all of their friends going the other way, and seeing that scene with the smokestack, it just gives you a feeling that those people are going to die, also there's this other scene when Oskar Schindler was leading all of the women and children to his new factory, seeing the men looking out of the windows, hoping to see their loved ones there, you just tell by the looks on their faces, also I've got to give props to Sir Ben Kingsley, Ralph Fiennes, They were Amazing, also Bigger Props to Liam Neeson, He was just Amazing Portraying Oskar Schindler, That was Amazing seeing him standing in front of the Real Oskar Schindler's Grave, after placing those two red roses.

Thanks, Ford, for sponsoring this program so that this message could be heard throughout the world. Though the amount of sponsorship mentions are a bit much for me, I can certainly let it slide in this case. Because humanity should never forget what we can devolve to. Especially now.

I think this is a pretty good arrangement considering only one Ford ad was aired on either end of the movie and there were no advertisements of any kind during the broadcast. An important film was shown on over-the-air TV uninterrupted because of one company's sponsorship, and the advertising they DID show was mellow and inoffensive. I think everybody won there

A movie of this subject has such a strong message. Steven Spielberg has been and will always be one of my personal favorite directors and he did a phenomenal job directing this movie. Even though it is intense and heartbreaking, it does have a point. For something as horrifying as the Holocaust was, this movie shows that history cannot be ignored.
