Smokey Mountain Girls Reunion 2020: "Freedom"

Күн бұрынThe four girls of the iconic group Smokey Mountain (Geneva Cruz, Chedi Vergara, Shar Santos-Kaylor, Anna Fegi-Brown) reunite virtually to record the song "Freedom." Composed by National Artist for Music Ryan Cayabyab, the song originally appeared on the album titled Paraiso, released on the BMG record label in 1991.

You will noticed the true singers..when they sing..more passionate and intense the kind of training that they have with Mr Cayabyab during the 90s is really felt with these singers..and the kind of songs that they pick.bravo!pure talents..pure singers!

Kahit pano, nag grow yung Channel ni Ms. Anna mula nung nagupload sya ng Smokey Mountain Videos. Buhay pa din talaga sa kamalayan ng mga tao ang grupo nila. It’s not just pop for them. Yes may mga pop hits sila like Kahit Habang Buhay and Kailan pero yung songs talaga na may social relevance ang nakakamiss. They don’t do that now. Paraiso, Better World, Freedom at marami pang iba.

I just stumbled upon this.. Grabe, goosebumps! The song, and this interpretation had so much power and emotion..it hits you right to your very core! Ramdam mo talaga yung message, yung passion! Yong nakakaiyak kasi dito is the fact na hanggang ngayon, hindi lang sila kumakanta - They are telling a story, they sing songs na relevant kahit hanggang ngayon.. Damang dama talaga ang lyrics at ang emotions eh.. Parang gusto nila sabihin na - Andito pa din kami!! Buhay pa ang Smokey Mountain!! We are still fighting sa platform na alam namin!! Haaay!

I would love to record, but I'm still recovering from a C Section less than two weeks ago.
