I was drawn to play fingerstyle years ago, and have always struggled with mental illness and addiction. KZfaq recommended you after i did a few week stay in a nightmarish mental ward. I learned you and Chet Atkins house in new Orleans, and haven't turned back. You unlocked the boom chick style entirely and advanced me a decade of playing seemingly overnight. Youre literally the best of all time. 💘

Seemed as though Tommy was almost "tearing up" at the conclusion. If I'm not mistaken, this was the last song Chet Atkins wrote and recorded (with Tommy of course). Their relationship was amazing, and it was almost like "the torch" of the greatest living guitarist was being passed from Chet to Tommy. RIP Chester Burton Atkins.

Tommy Emmanuel is the only player I can think of, where I'm pretty much blown away every time I hear him play a tune! :D It's insane! I love metal-shredders and fushion-players and jazz-players, but they all have their dull moments. Tommy Emmanuel's dull moment is yet to come to my ears! :)

I tried ("tried") to play this in front of a small church group's family fun night .. impromptu ... I blew it. Learned I could just go to another tune I know very well and learn a lesson .. .. Since then I have been at practice daily now ... this makes all the difference. ... I need to keep playing playing and playing ... I am learning too, learn the tune basically and work deeper with each touch and feel of each string and note ... and try to make others happy whenever I may play in front of them again. I am inspired to play by good influence from you Tommy .Thanks for your great lessons and giving happiness to others.. Yah bless and keep a good diet and good vision for a great beautiful Earth and people to grow and grow.

Yesterday's evening I enter a music store a go to the guitar's section where I found Tommy looking at guitars and still amazed by them like if it was his first time, I didn't want to disturb him but I did shake his hand, later when I got out from the store someone told me to stay for a privet live they gonna do with him, I was so amazed by that beautiful day. That was a night dream but Tommy was real.
