So hot down to breakfast early this morning hoping for an early getaway arriving at 7:50am to eat and I was informed that breakfast did not start till 8am!
So I decided to go and pack the bike which took me about 15 minutes and by the time I got back all the tables bar one were occupied with the tour bus crowd!
A few miles up the road, when I bought fuel, re-packed as was having trouble getting me leg over 😆
Headed for Connemara and glad someone suggested Rosroe Pier which was beautiful.
Then I followed the coast out toward Tully Beg and found a spot which I wanted to photograph with the drone and luckily the weather allowed it. Note the little cottage - I remember getting a photo once with smoke coming from the chimney.
Found the place where Alcock and Brown put their plane down after flying the Atlantic for the first time - cool!!
Then down to Roundstone - pretty little harbour where I had a hot chocolate to thaw out - in JUBE.....honest !!
Finally encountered Galway in the rush hour but filtering is openly encouraged here so it didn’t pose much of a problem Ha HA !!
Oh finally finally - a nice meal in the Pier Point pub in Kinvarra - memories of the old "Galway Girl" song but a couple of American teachers will have to do - i accosted them over dinner 😜
Can't speak more highly of the little bike - its EPIC !!
