Weeeeew this episode made me so happy! I’m a nurse and I’ve seen the long term results of years of smoking on my patients and wah my heart hurts. And one thing is that not only does it affect the health of the individual, but also that of their family members’. I’ve met an aunty who has Asthma and COPD exacerbations just because her husband and son smoke :”)

If you call the hotline they will send you message reminders to stop smoking. in my opinion it is helpful to some extend as it is trying to remind you. However, it will not work for smokers who are not on their phone 24/7

Hey guys! Interesting episode as usual. Although, Dew didn't answer the "would you quit smoking for your kids?" and i'm curious as to what his answer would be. Another discussion that would've been interesting to listen to/watch is would you guys quit if your SO gave you an ultimatum? PS: do an episode about drugs!

I guess i had some pretty good smoker friends when i was in highschool, they asked me to try to smoke but when i rejected it once they never pressure me to do it and we are still very good friends

I get nauseated at the sight of cigarette ashes, cigarette ash tray and hilariously just the packaging itself. I don't even dare to touch the packaging without trembling and triggering my anxiety. I know it's a tad bit dramatic but here we are.

One of the best reason to smoke is that if you're in the service line, be it FnB or Retail etc, smoking gives you extra time to take short breaks compared to non-smokers as they can't be going to the toilet 6-7 times a day.

Use to smoke since I was 16. It's been close to a year now since my last cig. Just stop, after the withdrawal stage is over, your addiction will lower down by a lot.

It work for me tho, my father still smoking right now, but never once in my life i tried that. Because when i was a kid i want to be an race car driver or something like that and he told me if you're smoking than no team will pick you up, tho i never have a chance to be a race car driver. Stil never tried that

Am i the only one who smoke 1 pack a day for 3-4 years and still not addicted? Don't bother telling me i'm am already addicted but in self-denial. I can stop and easily go on few months without a single puff (not just believe that i could. I've done it). Now i only smoke when i meet smoker friends or on rare occasions, to fend of mosquitoes (best repellent ever btw). Commenting this because i am REALLY curious why is that so, and is there anyone else like me?? I've read something like your genetics makes your dopamine receptors less receptive to the nicotine effects. Discussion anyone?

Not sure about SG laws on vape,but it helped me.Its not kicking the habit per se,but its a good start.You'll breath better,smell nicer and don't exactly feel like shit all the time.

As a smoker myself, i could tell you there is no easy way to quit smoke. You either do it by a strong will or by having people punch you in the face everytime u tries to smoke. Not even my girlfriend can stop me, thats how bad smoking are. So please do not ever try smoking, it its not worth it. I am still currently trying to quit.

I tried the quitting hotline and actually you can choose if you wanna put another person's number like your guardian or not. Then like you can choose if you wan them to contact you by email, call or sms. Its a 28 days smoke free programme then like everyday they will check on you and recommend what you should do if you feel like smoking. Well for me, i lost on the first day so yea😂😂

my boyfriend broke up with me because I smoke HAHAHAAHAH so that's the only reason I've quit smoking HAHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHA but I'm still grateful for him cause if I didn't meet him in the first place, I think I would still be smoking right now

Smoking induce dopamine in your body, dopamine is your addiction hormones if using as abusive substance so it will have strong withdrawal. Dopamine is sort of in charge of your instant gratification mood which makes you want to do it more n more until it sinks in as addiction. Some people dont smoke but they are addicted to coffee, alcohol, drugs etc .. its the same physiology effect as smoking creates. Just that smoking has more severe damage to lungs, hopefully all is well for you bro! In general, addiction is one of the effects from psychological cause, perhaps introspection would be good to trigger to find out what is your next action dealing with it. :D
