Considering he modded the game to be somewhere around 0.5 times the regular speed, he's essentially cheating his way into getting cool clips instead of putting in the actual effort needed to this in Base or Turbo speeds

That and his battle instincts are off the charts, combined with his unorthodox and highly adaptable fighting style (like how he can incorporate dozens of unique weapons into his fighting abilities). Not to mention this was Dantes first battle with his new Devil Trigger and personilized new Devil Armament after being so used to the Sparda sword after losing Rebellion.

It's crazy how much pickier the game is about what hits Dante versus what hits his enemies. Like that left punch of yours and the medium kick that came after were nowhere close to Vergil but he still got hit before the summoned swords even started swinging. Meanwhile, Vergil's swords when they're off by a chin hair:

being able to record the boss battles so you could spectate it in different camera angles would be perfect, the big nidhog guy would probably have some glitches on the model since he spends most time out of sight but still, imagine seeing your own combo and even matching different clips
